Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg Housing and Information:
Location: The US Army Corps of Engineers has several facilities located throughout the Mississippi Valley Division, with the headquarters of the operation located in Historic Downtown Vicksburg in the Mississippi Valley Division Building. The facility is just east of the city center of Vicksburg on the Mississippi River and Mississippi-Louisiana State Line. In addition to Vicksburg, other nearby cities include Beechwood, Rose Hill, Woodlawn, Newmans, and Waltersville, MS. As well, across the Mississippi River and State line, Tallulah, LA is approximately 25 miles west of the facility.
The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District is set to begin levee improvements on Highway 465 starting near Chotard Landing. All traffic will be closed on the three mile section of road starting September 29, 2017 until December 31, 2017. Concurrently, the Corps will begin paving a three mile section of Mississippi Highway 465, three miles north of Chotard Landing.
