Bliss is comprised of other commands: MEDCOM, JTF-NORTH, the Largest TRADOC footprint on an FORSCOM installation, USAR, and other elements. Fort Bliss has the largest Army training area at 965K acres. One of two active joint MOB stations in DoD, currently the largest MOB platform. Fort Bliss is comprised of approximately 1.1 million acres of land in Texas and New México. The Main Cantonment Area of Fort Bliss is located adjacent to El Paso, Texas.

Merging Two Cultures in One City One thing that has surprised me while living in El Paso is how close we are to another country. Mexico is across the bridge from Texas and its’ influence is seen throughout the city.
