Kaneohe Bay is on Oahu, where Hawaii’s state capital Honolulu is located. Hawaii can be very expensive because it is a vacation hot spot, but the expensive costs of living will be made up for in a cost of living allowance and the general beauty of this duty station.

There are 19 islands in total that make up the state of Hawaii and provide a great point to begin exploring this beautiful place. There are several other bases located on Oahu:  Pearl Harbor Naval Base, Schofield Army Barracks, and Hickam Air Force Base.

Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay is an air station located in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. Marine Corps Base Hawaii Kaneohe Bay is home to the 3rd Marine Regiment, the 3rd Radio Battalion and the Combat Logistics Battalion. In 1994, all the Hawaii Marine installations were consolidated and were combined to form a new command under the name Marine Corps Base Hawaii. MCBH Kaneohe Bay is home to the headquarters of the Commander, U.S. Pacific Command, and the Joint Task Force Full Accounting as well as the Commander Special Operations Command Pacific. The mission of Kaneohe Bay is to provide combat readiness support for military personnel who live on base.
