Location: The  Military Ocean Terminal at Sunny Point (MOTSU) is located on the west bank of the Cape Fear River in Brunswick County in southeastern North Carolina along NC Hwy 133.  It is part of the city of Southport, NC and is located northeast of the city center.  Other nearby cities include Carolina Beach, Boiling Spring Lakes, and Coolvale.  Wilmington, NC is about 26 miles north of the facility.

Housing: Military housing is not available at the Military Ocean Terminal Sunny Point (MOTSU). Many military families live off base in the community.
