Date Night Ideas: El Paso, Texas

20 March 2013 by

From hiking to restaurants, there are a lot of date night ideas in El Paso

The first place my husband and I look for date night ideas in El Paso is a great website that has been a wonderful resource to us.  The website is called El Paso Scene and it showcases the various activities, concerts, and reasonably priced events around the El Paso/Southern New Mexico area for every month of the year.  The Ciudad Juarez, Mexico area is covered as well for those El Pasoans that visit the area on a semi-regular basis.

We have been able to attend a play at a very reasonable price for both of us ($14 w/military discount), which was held at a small community theatre called El Paso Playhouse.

Fort Bliss is home to Freedom Crossing, which is an outdoor shopping, restaurant, and movie theater venue.  It is also another location to have a reasonable date night as the movie theater offers a military price for movie tickets.  Some great restaurants that are located in Freedom Crossing that are enjoyable are Smashburger and Shamrocks Irish Pub.

Even a day of hiking in the Franklin Mountains can be turned into a spontaneous date by visiting a local ice cream shop, such as Marble Slab Creamery or YogoBerry Crossroads, afterwards.

There are many places around El Paso to have a nice date night based on your personal tastes and hobbies.  It just depends on where you look to for event information.  You can also find wonderful restaurants just by visiting for a date night, which may make your stay in the El Paso area enjoyable.

Restaurants for a Date Night

Restaurants that we have come across just by visiting that we enjoy are:

Forti’s,

Carlos & Mickey’s,

Casa Pizza, and

BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse.
