Free Family Friendly Activities in Pensacola & Free Music

2 July 2013 by

If you're looking for free family friendly activities in Pensacola, you're in luck!  There are two wonderful summer weekly events that you'll want to bring the whole family to.

Evenings in Olde Seville Square” are located in the Heart of Downtown Pensacola every Thursday  through August 15, 2013 from 7:00-9:00 pm. Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, favorite snacks and beverages and enjoy the music. A wide variety of musicians perform at these events. This is one of my favorite locations in Pensacola because it has many local eateries around it. The park its self is gorgeous and has the “old South” charm to it.

Pensacola Beach celebrates "Bands on the Beach:" free, family-friendly music on Tuesdays through October 29. Weather permitting, it begins at 7:00 pm at the Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach boardwalk on Pensacola Beach. You're encouraged to bring beach chairs and coolers. Many local hotels and restaurants have happy hours that are before the show start time.  I suggest checking out the Hilton and Hampton Inn’s Facebook pages and website for up to date specials.

Nothing makes you feel like a local than doing things the locals do. Take the time enjoy the beautiful downtown or the gulf. Listen to great music and enjoy a sunset with those you love the most.

Best tips for a great time at the beach:

1. Pack food and drinks

2. Bring bug spray

3. Carry comfy chairs

4. Bring something to keep you warm when the temperature lowers at sunset
