I am torn with this review because I had high hopes after learning that they had just been awarded best vet in Jax for the third year in a row. Maybe my experience was not the norm, but I will not be returning. I came in with my two dogs wanting to start them on heartworm prevention after recently moving to the south. We waited an hour and a half past our appointment time (scheduled a week earlier) before seeing the vet. When Dr. Anna walked in, she said hello, then suggested that I should try a harness on my dog instead of the pinch collar I had on him. I explained we had tried harnesses before in training classes, but were not successful and the only reason he had the collar on then was to keep him from lunging at the the dogs we just sat with for 90 minutes in the lobby. She replied with an assumption telling me that I shouldn't take my dog to "box store training classes" (which I have never taken him to, they were local and private classes). I don't know how we got off on the wrong foot, but the rest of the appointment felt like I was being shamed as if I was an ignorant pet owner, but the vet concluded saying my dogs were the healthiest she'd seen lately. The facility itself was clean with a good layout, but the walls were thin and I could hear every detail of the exam being done next to our room. Prices are low, but given my experience, the wait time and experience we had with the vet was not worth saving a few bucks.
