SCS is one of the most nurturing, academically rich schools I have ever seen. As a professional educator, I am so impressed by St Catherine School. I highly recommend this school!

We have been really happy with our experience at St. Catherine of Siena School. The sense of community is strong and welcoming, and the teachers truly care about their students. Both of our children have thrived under their guidance and instruction academically, socially, and emotionally. It’s clear that the staff is dedicated to helping each child grow and feel supported. Our kids are happy going to school here and that’s what is most important. We’re very grateful to be part of this school and would absolutely recommend St. Catherine of Siena to families looking for a nurturing, high-quality education.

We found St. Catherines by word of mouth through our local swim team, and I am very glad we did. We had been looking into alternative school options for our daughters but none had the right combination of class size, affordable tuition, and sense of community that St. Catherine offers. We took the leap and transferred our kids, and it’s been a very positive experience.

Our kids thrive in the small classes. Instructors are able to give each child more attention and tailor lessons for their individual needs. They also feel comfortable and safe with their teachers.

We also enjoy the community quite a bit. The parents are very involved at St. Catherine, and you will find many opportunities to become involved on campus. Whether during school related social and fundraising events, or the annual participation in the homecoming parade, there are many opportunities to connect with other families. It’s just a very warm and welcoming family oriented community.

I strongly recommend the school and encourage you to take a tour, which they are always happy to accommodate.

St. Catherine of Siena School truly feels like home. Our family has met so many wonderful people, and we’ve become part of a warm, uplifting community of supportive parents. The teachers and staff are incredibly welcoming and deeply committed to every student’s growth and well being. Having our child attend St. Catherine of Siena has been a blessing for our entire family
We couldn’t imagine a better place for their education and development.

I had gone to st Catherine’s k-7th. After I left this school and moved on to other academic environments, I realized how badly this school weighed on my mental state. My biggest criticism is the horrible favoritism at st Catherine’s. Many faculty and staff treated me and some of my friends differently in an academic setting because of their personal feelings towards us. It’s all around just a negative environment too. As soon as i left, I realized how enjoyable it actually can be to go to school. This school is very good at giving a sweet exterior to parents but camouflaging the way many students were treated inside the school. Many parents undermine students complaints because they automatically assume that private school is the best thing you could give your child, I’m certainly not disagreeing, but you should always listen to your child if they are having any problems!!

Sending my child to St. Catherine’s is a decision I never think twice about. The faculty and staff are like an extension of his family; they are open and communicative with us about his struggles and successes; they are available for my own questions and feedback, and I really feel like he is not only being educated to a high level, but nurtured as a whole person. I am also impressed with the rest of the student body. They are a group of smart and courteous kids that all know and support each other— across grade levels! Our experience at St. Catherine’s is invaluable thus far.

We are just finishing up our first year at St. Catherine and couldn't be any more pleased with our experience. The teachers are so dedicated, so driven and their passion shows in all that they do. The office staff work very hard at keeping things organized, and communicating with the families. We were made to feel very welcome to this small community from the very beginning. Our son has thrived in the Kindergarten class, and truly enjoys going to school. We never would have seen ourselves as a private school type of family, but can not imagine going any other route. We are so thankful that our children will receive a quality education at St. Catherines.

St. Catherine's has managed to provide a traditional Catholic school education in a compassionate environment. They strive to acknowledge all types of students which in todays changing world, says a lot about their desire and ability to stick to their mission above all else..."to nurture each child". I truly believe that my child will benefit later in life from the attention and friendships that only a small, faith filled school like St. Catherine's can offer. If your goal is to have your child continue on into Catholic high school...St. C's kids seem to move on to CHS and DLS very well prepared.

We couldn't be happier to have our son enrolled at Saint Catherine's. Over the past few years we have witnessed our child grow both socially and academically. He has been surrounded by a very supportive community of teachers, classmates, and parents. We have always enjoyed the small class sizes and the personal attention each child receives. The school is a safe environment for learning which helps us feel at ease during the day.

Excellent school! My daughter is in kindergarten and absolutely loves going to school everyday. The teachers are great in making learning fun while meeting a higher standard of education. I like the christian values and discipline that are being taught in the school. My daughter has learned so much since day one.

They are talented and gifted. They are the best out there and highly educated. They teach for love nor money.

Absolutely. It is an excellent school for values which are taught in every class. As it is a religious school for example even the English classes are taught with ethical concepts in mind.

From fhe dedicated teacher to the engaged, enthusiastic staff you can't find a better, more inclusive and welcoming grade school in the Bay Area. With a Catholicism like Pope Francis, faith is built in to the life but in a way that welcomes all families. The school is small and my only regret is we didn't find it sooner. It is a wonderful alternatice to the ridiculously large public schools and the most dedicated and caring staff I have seen in area private schools.

I have a kindergartener there now and to say I am happy to have her there is an understatement. Miss Gillim is absolutely amazing. She's like having your kids mom with a teaching credential!!! My daughter is thriving. Reading, writing, doing math, the whole 9 yards. I ant wait until my other daughter is old enough to start,)

My shy child started kindergarten this year at St. Catherine of Siena and has blossomed into a confident, outgoing little lady. She loves her new school and teacher. Every morning she is excited to start her day and every evening I pick her up she is energetic, happy and has learned something new. The small classes and the friendly, capable staff gives me peace of mind that my daughter is receiving a quality education in a loving and nurturing environment despite my long work hours.

Excellent school! Fabulous, caring teachers and faculty, rigorous academics but always willing to help any child in need, you can feel the love each staff member has for these kids. Small class sizes. Best kept secret in Martinez and surrounding areas! Best decision I made for my kids!!

This is a great school! The small class sizes really help children get individual attention and help them to shine! A child is much more than just a number at our school. The principal and teacher's are caring and know each and every child in the whole school. The kid's all know one another too! The older student's often help the younger ones and they look after eachother. There is a strong commitment to sevice projects which teaches the children about community and how to help those in need. I am fortunate to have three children at STC. I have one in the preschool ( it is also amazing) and two in the grade school. I love that our Christian values at home are being taught at school as well. Try it - you will like it!

St. Catherine's is a great school with an exceptional, caring faculty who work tirelessly to challenge each and every student. The small school size allows all students to shine.
