I was an old student of this awful school from 2023 to 2024 and I hated every bit of it. The teachers were so disrespectful and hardly taught. The counselors never listened and had very many favorites. The bullying from the students was so bad I got pulled out early because it was bringing down my mental health and causing bad emotions to paint over me like a canvas. They kept letting kids into the school, mainly from Truesdell with a record of bullying, and getting into fights. The only people I felt comfortable talking to was the assistant principals, Mr Wiseman and Mr. Johnston. Find better teachers like them and maybe you'll get higher stars. I don't recommend this school for special needs kids or kids with mental illnesses because all that will happen is that they'll get bullied severely and/or get drained from their happiness. I hate this school and the population except for the assistant principals. Instead of my bully getting in trouble or expelled, he got off only with a warning and the counselors said I was being over dramatic. Excuse me? I don't recall bullying about mental health, cancer, or any other issue or illness over dramatic. I don't remember being so scared to go to school because I would get made fun of and bullied so hard I'd hit my head against the wall to go home early so I could stay with my parents. Fix your issues before I fix them for you and find better teachers. Maybe then you'll get five stars.

Very few homework assignments. The assignments that my child received were primarily family history worksheets that I was required to fill out.

My daughters test scores have been dropping since she began attending this school. She was able to opt out of a test if she brought snacks for the class. She had 2 projects for which the grade entirely depended upon showing up to their final friday afterschool event; we were given 24 hours notice of this.

The school lost my child. My child's bus was late. The office staff told the bus riders to go stand by the doors on the opposite end of the school. They did not contact the parents. Then the staff left and locked the building up with my child inside. Spent 3 hours at the school looking for her, banging on the locked office door. Called the school. Called the police. Turned out that after 2 hours of being unsupervised at the school, she used a classmate's phone to call a family friend that works nearby. Obviously no school staff verified that the man my daughter left with was authorized to pick her up. My 12 year old showed more effective leadership skills than Mayberry staff.

0/10. This is the worst rated middle school in Wichita for a good reason. Nothing but incompetence from Mayberry staff while my child attended Mayberry.

My name is Lindi S. I was a Mayberry Panther. After going to the school for all three years.I am very happy I was sent to the school. They have excellent teachers and wonderful students. My test scores have improven greatly. The principal could do a better job of who he picks as teachers. Over all i give the credit to the teachers and staff for makeing the school such a great iniornment for the students. If i were a parent i woud gladley send my child to this wonderful Magnet School. Again i am very proud of being a Mayberry Middle Cultural/Fine Arts Magnet 'Graduate'!
