IMLCS is unlike any other charter school, IMLCS is truly amazing. My leader is being educated, loved and appreciated by his teachers. My son has excelled in all areas and I appreciate every staff member, Principal Thompson has a great team of educators working by his side. The atmosphere that IMLCS offers a leader makes them feel proud of learning and achieve goals academically. I am happy to have found a school that offers such an amazing experience for my leader.

My experience at my son's school has always been pleasant. The parent coordinator is always joyful and helpful. She appears to have a good relationship with the students and the parents. I can always depend on her to have the proper solution for any problem that may occur.

Please Believe in Imagine Me !!!!!!!! There is a certain atmosphere this school has that pulls you to it. This is my first time experiencing a charter school at work. The principal and the director are two people that I gravely admire. Principal Thompsons interactions between his staff and his students is impeccable. This year he wanted to inspire his 4th and 5th graders to achieve greatness. He arranged a weekend trip to Washington to visit his alma mater Georgetown University as well as Howard University. Not only did they get to tour the two schools and attend a football game, they also toured our Nations Capital and other historical landmarks. What a wonderful experience.

The idea of the school is novel,(an all boys charter school in ENY) but the execution has been horrible. If you have high standards and expect your son to get a great elementary education, this is not the school for you. Academics are sub-par, most teachers are under-qualified, curriculum is lacking, and the environment is unstructured and chaotic. Your son will not get the proper foundation he needs to excel in the remainder of his academic career. This school is currently in it's 3rd year of existence and still is trying to get "it" right. There have also been several changes in the school leadership teams, but these changes have lead to no positive progress. While they are trying and failing, the students are being left by the wayside. I am in the process of removing my son as this is being typed. I wish I had something positive to say, as this is a school that is sponsored by community leaders. This school is definitely not worth taking the chance on, especially if you want the best academic and social environment for your son. I have given this school a one star rating because that is the lowest that a school could be given.
