"What a welcome!"

Lots of military and retired military. The day we moved in,the whole row moved their cars. People brought cleaning supplies, refreshments, and dinner. Very easy drive to Ft. Belvoir, short bike ride or medium walk to metro, right next door to a school parents love.

"Townhomes with green space"

This community has sets of townhomes on courts to create a smaller community feel. There are large green spaces set aside, and the community has pools, trails, and playscapes as well as community activities. It is well maintained (strict HOA). The townhomes come in a variety of sizes, with and without garages. The location is very close to Ft. Belvoir, but we lived there when my husband worked at the Pentagon. He used the Springfield Metro (5 minutes away with a parking structure). There are also buses that go to the Van Dorn metro or straight into town. There is shopping within walking distance: grocery store, restaurants, movie theater, and a few larger stores (Toys 'R Us, Wal-Mart, Dillards). It is only about 5 minutes to the Springfield Mall and Trader Joes. Quiet, family and pet friendly community.
