Coast Guard New Orleans (CG) Housing and Information:

Location: The Coast Guard Command Center is located in in the central business district of New Orleans, about 5 miles southeast of Metairie, in the Lower Garden District neighborhood of the city of New Orleans. 

The station has an area of responsibility (AOR) which covers 7,500 square miles. This area extends from West Pearl River to Des Allemands and along the Mississippi River from South Baton Rouge to Pointe a la Hache. Other bodies of water included in the AOR are Lakes Borgne, St. Catherine, Ponchartrain, Maurepas, Salvador, Des Allemands, and the Mississippi River Gulf Outlet.

Coast Guard Base New Orleans Housing: Privatized military housing is available in the New Orleans area at the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Belle Chasse, LA and at The Village at Federal City in Algiers, LA,  location of the former Naval Support Activity New Orleans. Both military housing communities welcome Active Military, Retirees, Reservists, and DoD Civilians.  Housing is managed by Patrician Military Housing, The Village at Federal City - (866) 489-4571.
