Here is my very honest review on Daphne middle, Overall as 8th grade student who is about to get out of this school, This school is Terrible, it sucked. Theres always something going on,Drama,Pda and bullying you name it. Ive went here for 2 years And I used to get bullied constantly and the teachers barely did anything about it in their classroom. There was rumors about me being spread and I went to the Counselor, She said That was nothing she could do about that. The PDA is really bad here too I see couples just do weird stuff doing school. The teachers are average with teaching (the teachers I had/have). The safety here is bad because again I got harassed and Fights happen every once in a while. The communication with this school is terrible, they never let my parents know anything I usually tell them what happening.

worst time of my life. I do not recommend this school at all, there is drama all the time, the teachers do not teach well, and the overall experience is very very bad, this school is so unfair when it comes to seeing who was in the right and wrong and who gets punishments and how bad they are, again, do not recommend at all please do not come to this school.

My student had a difficult time at this school initially due to the disorganization of teaching platforms. Teachers use multiple platforms to teach assignments, post assignments (changing for inside of class vs. outside of class) and to post review work. Moving from a school with essentially one teacher to six (6) different teachers doing their own thing was frustrating for my student and for myself to be honest. I quickly met with each teacher to have them identify each platform they would be using. It came to about 2-4 digital platforms per teacher (total of 12 unique applications) on the students assigned Chromebook to which ONLY ONE was shared between ALL teachers. So, you see how this could get frustrating for a 12-year-old. I actually asked if there was a parent session offered that introduced us to these applications. No, there is not. PowerSchool is sometimes helpful. It is an app where we can see our student's grades in real time. Unfortunately, it is like any other computer system. It reports data that is input into it. Teachers who do not input student grades regularly (some I have waited for test scores for up to 2 weeks) pretty much have "dead" links. On top of all of this, as a new 7th grader at this school, my student has been accused (multiple times) of malice behavior only to be released from punishment with no apology and adults proving to carry out shameful behavior by jumping to conclusions. Quite poor conclusions too, that come from zero source or deductive reasoning (as my student has never even seen the inside of a principal's office and has always been the teacher's helper). Now that we are month's in, these instances do not happen anymore because he has gained a report, but he was definitely treated quite poorly when he first arrived at this school by teachers and faculty. It has been quite the disappointing experience.

Im a former student at this school and it okay some teacher assume the worst in people and the school doesnt say anything to my parents about events and other things. The overall learning is great. There are many fights and teachers have a hard time controlling students. There is also favoritism as well. Im a good student and I do what Im told but still get in trouble for no reason. If your child isnt ready for all of this its recommended for them not to come to this school.

Poor communication is the main issue. The front office is almost not approachable due to their rudeness, lack of interest in helping. Teachers post assignments using varying systems making school work difficult to keep up with. Teachers assign 0's and will not allow make up work most of the time. This school is poorly run from what I have witnessed.

Completely unorganized. Train wreck. Multiple systems used making school work tracking difficult.

This is the best school in the city of Daphne and people who is complaining out the teachers and staff is just going off with what there kids are saying .The staff do there best to make sure the students have a great education and the principle is AMAZING...the only problem is the PE teachers. To the person who said that they make us clean the eating area...we need to clean our own mess the janitors have to clean the bathrooms the hallways the classrooms and everything else. Just be thankful that u have a place of learning and somewhere u can get a good education.

VERY poor communication with parents. Claim that the kids are older and need to be responsible. I have already had more communication from the high school and it's day 2. Don't give schedules before school starts, so the kids go in blind. Had a teacher who didn't know my child ask her if she was suicidal after she cut her hair short into a hairstyle that she had planned for a month. Had a staff member tell her if she didn't change her hair and look, that in 5 years she would be a tattooed freak that nobody trusted. The health teacher, who is female, didn't even know all of the correct female reproductive organs, or enough about reproduction and pregnancy to teach it correctly. No meet the teacher before school. I have already met all of my child's teachers at the high school. We SERIOUSLY considered moving or paying for private school to get my child out of that school.

This school changes principals and vice principals faster than any school I have ever seen. The Physical Education staff are HORRIBLE and disrespectful to the kids. I have a very difficult time getting any follow through. Bulling is laughed off and considered "boys will be boys" mentality. If a child goes to the principal about a bully, the child is told they will be punished if they said anything back to defend themselves. I have heard this said myself to my child. I am really disappointed in this school. Daphne Middle has let me and my child down academically and emotionally.

This school is one of the worst. Most of the teachers don't care about the kids and the front office workers isn't concerned with any of it and are very unwelcoming. This school doesn't give the kids any freedom. They have to sit with the class that they had the period before at lunch instead of their friends. They won't even let the janitors clean up the cafiteria! They make the students do it! Very little effort goes into the average student. One of my teachers doesn't even know my name and we're in the thrid quater. The students are horrible and incosiderate for anyone but themselves. Everything about this school is image and sports. They punish the entire grade for a couple people failing. All they care about is our test scores and grades. They don't care about you/ your kid. I suggest if your thinking about this school, don't. WORST school I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot.
