There is after school tutoring for anyone needing help.

Posted: December 9, 2017

Most are effective in helping us understand the lessons they are teaching.

Most teachers here inspire me to be better and work harder.

The leaders are too lax. They need to enforce rules and policy for everyone. Treating everyone equal. They need to help keep the few teachers lacking on track and motivated.

The resource teachers truly care and work hard to help each of their students.

Bullying should not be tolerated or accepted.

It is a great school. Every school has a few bad apples. I am very happy at Robertsdale High.

There are teachers who stay after school daily and offer free tutoring and help.

Most of the teachers here will try and help you if you ask for help.

My child had these things instilled in him from toddler on up. This starts at home.

I feel there could be improvements in this area. I feel many have simply thrown their hands up instead of looking for real ways to improve the school and implementing new ways to improve it. There is a lack of team work and unity.

My son is on the spectrum but does very well in school. As a parent you must stay on top of everything but this is something I found to be true even at top rated schools. If things are amiss then I call an IEP if needed.

Zero tolerance should be zero tolerance. It should not matter if it is the first day of school, last day of school, or anywhere between. They do not handle bullying properly.

The school has a lot of positive attributes such as a great NJROTC program with Colonel Meehan and Theo guiding these Cadets to be better all around students. For resource I must give a shout out to Larissa Goodrich. She truly cares and works very hard to help her students achieve their fullest potential. There are several teachers who go above and beyond for their students. I will also give a shout out to coach Strain who pushes the wrestling team to do their best at everything and to work together as a team.
The few not so motivated leaders and teachers at this school need to dig a little deeper, work a little harder, follow, and enforce policy across the board with ALL students being treated equally. These situations happen at top rated schools too, but, should not happen anywhere. The students should also do their part in making Robertdale a top rated school. If every student did all of their work, studied, asked for help, and have 100 % I believe our schools scores would be way higher.
We love Robertsdale High.

I graduated from RHS in 2004 and the Honors diploma (now offered as the Distinction Diploma) more than prepared me for classes on the university level. Robertsdale may not be an IB school, but it does offer 5 AP courses, advanced science and math courses, and at the time I was attending 3 levels of either Spanish or French (my friends' schools only offered 2 levels). Electives offered included forensic science, law courses, computer programing, web design, model UN, music, and art classes. Teachers were always willing to help and offer advice. RHS still offers clubs for various interests, including service, academic, religious, and political. I enjoyed my years at RHS, took advantage of the more challenging courses and activities, and was successful at my university because of it.

I went to Robertsdale High School and am the graduating class of 2007, and I must say that I was given a fair education, not stellar but not horrible either. The school is more concerned with the sports teams than trying to become an IB school, I feel that I was not challenged enough as a student and I also feel that they need to improve and expand upon their foreign language programs. The staff was very accepting and accomodating, although I feel that the discussions in class turned into a religious debate or a morality debate far more than is acceptable in a public school system, all in all I must say that I received a fair education.
