The front staff isnt informative at all. The teachers arent sending home homework/study material. Since transferring to this school from Wilson (zoning) my son hasnt learned anything and the experience has been horrible.

Most times the students don't bring homework home. They do their work in the classroom. I asked my younger sibling at one point why that was and he told me that there was not enough books for the students to take one home for homework. That is horrible. My son now goes to that school, and I have meetings with this teachers on the regular to discuss the educational growth of my child. I do see that he is where he could be challenged more in his education but i also see where he is challenged enough.

My son has been there for 3 years now. He has had 3 different teachers that geniuenly care about education. The problem that they have is that the other children are not displanned enough at home resulting in disruptions in the classroom. The old saying of one bad apple really applies and I can see it when the instructor / teacher(s) are trying to get the other disruptive children in order and the others are suffering at the same time.

The Principle Dr. Milledge, has become a great resource and knows how to get the best out of his children. I do think it is a shame that his hands are tied when it comes helping his staff deal with disruptive children. Some children don't get the structure they need at home and only get it at school.

My son has an attention defect disorder, they have counselors that will take your child out of the crazy classroom put them in a quiet setting and tutor them one on one. Only thing is that they must be failing in a subject area, and I think it takes them to long to step in when help is obviously needed. They do need more councilors but they have help available and the two that they have are great!!

Call it the school or call it good parenting. When my child gets bullied, The principle steps in the teachers get involved and I as a parent get involved. My son was be harassed by a child and I stopped it quickly both at school and at the child care facility that he attended. I don't play that.

Overall, This school is a good school to attend. Structured and very nurturing form children to attend. They take education seriously. You get phone call on you phone when something is going on. The teachers will call you from there phones when something is going on and need your attention. The principle will make time to talk to you the parent about your child and how to handle situations when your child "Just Don't Get it." The biggest problem is the parents who don't care about what their child is doing in school or that "Just Don't Get it." If more parents care then education at this school will change.

I am a faulkner university student and observed at fitzpatrick all week. I was so impressed how friendly and wonderful the staff was. Everyone did a great job in making me feel so welcome. I had the honor of observing Mrs.Palmer and Mrs. Sadowski they are both a wonderful example of great teachers. I recommend this school for anyone looking to observe.
