ECA is a blessing! This school has provided a safe nurturing environment in which my child has thrived. We are updated on grades daily and communication regarding any issues have been handled swiftly and professionally. ECA places great emphasis on the students Academic, as well as their, Spiritual education and we have been more than pleased with the results.

All three of my children have attended ECA since they were in pre-K, and enrolling them in this school has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. ECA is a fantastic school with a Christian foundation and a nurturing environment.

The teachers, staff, and administration not only provide an excellent education but also treat both the children and parents with the utmost respect. For me, one of the most important aspects of a school is ensuring that my kids are in a loving environment where they feel safe and protected. ECA exceeds my expectations in this regard, and I truly believe my children are thriving because of the care and dedication of everyone involved.

I wholeheartedly recommend ECA to any parent seeking a school that prioritizes education, values, and a warm community atmosphere.

Love this school! ECA is a place that offers small classrooms size settings that will give your child one on one attention. My child has been at this school since K4 and learned tremendously. With Alabama being low in reading, my child was reading FLUENTLY by kindergarten through the ABEKA curriculum. The administrator, Mr. Johnson, is a fair and just administrator and has a heart for the children. Other staff and faculty are amazing. If you’re looking for a safe, nurturing environment then this school is the place for it!

All 3 of my children go to school at ECA. All of my sons teachers show them love and kindness everyday. They are encouraged daily to be the best they can. They are supported emotionally and spiritually. The school is always looking to improve where it can.
I have two kids in high school, and one in elementary. The high schoolers are challenged to learn in all of thier classes. I can honestly say they have earned their state A's. My kindergardener is learning social skills and reading me books at home. His teacher is the best at communicating and tells him she loves him often, even when he has a bad day. He looks forward to being in the first grade teacher's class.
The teachers pray for the students and each other every morning.
Mr. Johnson has a good heart and cares deeply about his staff and students. All of them.
I do have one athlete. I'm glad that the school offers athletics. Above the trophies though is a desire to cultivate young men and women of God. The athletic director is a shining example of good leadership and Godliness. She cares for all of the athletes and expects excellence from them.
The middle and highschool teachers spend time getting to know my kids. This means they can show grace and mercy when my kids need it, and discipline as needed as well.
I feel like my kids are safe in the place they spend most of their days.
Thank you Evangel Christian Academy.

Christian base school? That is an absolute joke. The administrator Robert Johnson is very cold towards black parents. The only reason they allow blacks through the door is to line their trophy case in sports. The teachers aren't friendly at all. The entire building is cold and uninviting. The curriculum is better in public schools. Don't send your kids here especially black kids because it's a cold and racist environment

Both of my children are graduates of ECA. As a parent, I was extremely happy with the school, staff, and education.

No school is perfect, however, one would expect for a Christian School to uphold certain standards with Christ being the center. Negative. Although diverse, it seems that the African American males are selected based upon their ability to perform athletically with not much emphasis on academics. I believe that football/basketball players receive discounted tuition for playing sports so the drive to excel academically is absent as Evangel rest solely on it's athletic laurels caring substantially less about the academic success of students. This is evident in the fact that teachers prohibit students from bringing home graded papers, and direct the parent to view grades via Engrade. Well, if you are truly invested in your child's academic performance, you want to see the actually paper to gauge any issue or struggle in the subject. The staff gossips, nothing is held in confidence regarding the students and VALUES are not emphasized. After our experience, we concluded that our child could have attended J.D or Lee and had the same experience for free. Think twice.

Our children have attended ECA for several years now. From kindergarten to graduation ECA has been their educational home. A lot has changed in the last few years with Mrs. Sikes, our new Principal, bringing a huge amount of academic experience last year. We love knowing that our children are being taught Biblical principles that will follow them throughout life and at the same time receiving a great education. The teachers really care about their students and are always willing to help. The smaller class size make learning fun and interactive.

Too many hidden fees...these people will require you the parent to volunteer to raise funds for what I don't know. Multiple fund raising! If you don't participate, you will get fines($250) added to your tuition. I didn't know that a Christian school conducted business this way. Stay away from this school and avoid the headaches.

This school is a joke. The headmaster has NO experience in education and is basically incompetent. The headmaster forces the teachers to change grades to make sure athletes remain eligible to play competitive sports. The reason they don't post their test scores here is because most of the students scored in the single digits on the ACT. Do yourself a favor and put you student in a real school. The education is NOT better than public school and as for it being a "Christian Academy", that is in name only. The behavior and language allowed in the school is appalling.
