By strong, you mean bullying? There’s a lot of cursing kids there and it doesn’t seem like a chrisian school.

They literally do NOTHING about bullying, it’s always your fault.

I would give the school a 4/10 because P.E was fun.

There’s just too much spelling home work, and if you don’t do it then you don’t get breakfast and you sit at a table alone at lunch.

It looks great on the outside but my son endured horrible lunchroom discussions with other kids (teacher sits no where near kids), he got bullied and they just didn't treat him like a little boy. They treated him like he was some big bad mean man but he was just a scared little boy.

If your child struggles with organization this is NOT the school for them because you as a parent won't receive the homework assignments or even know what they are doing.

My son's last teacher sat around and talked to him like he was an adult. She talked about her boyfriend, getting engaged to him and even when they argued.

I work hard to help my son with integrity but if the other students lie on him, and the principal believes them there is no compassion for him which makes him loose respect for those over him.

The only problem here was the principal is one that listens to what the other students say as if they are an adult. EX: if another child says YOUR child said a "bad word" YOUR child WILL get in trouble. Which I don't understand b/c they are both kids. He'll say he's known the other kid longer so he'll believe a kid over a kid. No matter what, a child will lie on another child. This type behavior condones bullying, my son was bullied here and the principal never believed him.

My son was bullied here and because the principal encouraged it by not listening and pointing the finger. NO one should take a child's word over another child. All the students know each other so if they decide they don't like one, they'll stick together and lie on that child. That's bullying.

I strongly recommend Lighthouse Christian Academy for the following reasons. 1, Distinct Christian Environment with daily Bible teaching and weekly chapel services. 2. Superior academics taught using the ABEKA curriculum from Pensacola Christian College. 3. Qualified teachers. All Elementary and Jr High staff have B.S. degrees, some have Masters degrees. All preschool staff except for 1 have at least 1 years of college or more. 4. Orderly classrooms. Drop in unannounced and see for your self. WARNING: 2 year old and under classes are a work in progress...ya think? 5. Problems brought to the attention of the administration are handled in a timely manner. 6. Total enrollment is significantly up. The only space available in the preschool is in the K-4 classes.

I WOULD NOT recommend anyone to send their child(ren) to Lighthouse Christian Academy. Teachers are in schools to instruct our children, not tell them to read the directions and complete the assignment without teaching them the skill first. Many of the teachers have no classroom management , and I wonder if they have a degree in education. I have no words for the lack of leadership for the school. Lighthouse needs to have stronger criteria to meet before hiring; I am truly disappointed with our experience there.
