The middle school in comparison to the elementary school and high school is comical. The middle school is the very reason I have ever wanted to pull my child out of public school. Every single teacher I have met has been rude and disrespectful. They dont support the parent/teacher relationship nor do they have any respect for the parents in general. No hospitality at all and they dont make you feel welcome when visiting or trying to communicate with them regarding your child. The teachers terrible stuck up attitudes are what makes this school so bad. You all are people just like the rest of us. Improvement certainly needs to take place.

My daughter is constantly bullied, and not just by some of the students. Teachers have actively been inciting other students to ignore her and write what they think about her. A few times shes had to beg to be allowed to use the restroom, the last time she had to walk out of class because she was about to urinate in her chair. She told the teacher that she was going to have me come to the school to talk to them about this and so she was accused of making threats. Her friends have told her that at least two of her teachers have stopped them in the hallway just to tell them to not be friends with her. When I picked her up from school today she asked me to change her to another pod because she cant take it anymore. The principal is a great guy. Hes down to earth and genuinely wants a safe, happy and productive school. The teachers act like middle schoolers themselves.

I have been impressed for this being a smaller school out near the lake, rather than a magnet school you have to roll the dice to get your kid into in the city. They have done well to educate my children who came here with the foundation of an Illinois early education prior to our latest move.

They balance the workload between traditional methods and technology well and ensure students have adequate study time at school as well as home.

Like in any school, this is a daunting task, but they are headstrong in the fight to combat bullying.

Huge discipline problems and the good kids are often punished so as not to tempt the bad kids. Small town politics means if a teacher's, admin's, or friend's child is the problem, your child will be punished. It's ridiculous.

Teachers don't communicate so you can have a night of homework from every class or a huge project due the same night as tryouts or even a once a week practice the same night as a tryout.

Teachers yell at children and degrade them daily. Very poor security measures in place. I have checked my child out without even being asked for ID from someone attending desk that I know for a fact does not know me from Adam... Child has been bullied with really no interest from Principal or Administration at this school. Principal should be ashamed of leadership she has provided for these children.
