When I went to Chapman, school work was completed within school hours. It left time for hobbies and being a kid.

The curriculum and teachers make a big difference. I've been to public and private school. I felt the teachers took more time to help us understand what we were learning rather than teaching us to pass a state test. The emphasis on mnemonic devices for studying and retaining information has been invaluable in my life.

As a student, I can't say I ever noticed when there was a student with learning differences. There is no bureaucratic process for individual teaching plans. It is more old school. If a student needed extra help, the teacher just gave it... without the requirement that the student be tested for learning issues, meeting with parents to define their independent learning plan, and a special education panel.

The class sizes are so small that there is no way you could get away with bullying. Each moment of the day was completely filled with learning, so there really was no time for typical trivial junior high and high school behavior.

I LOVED going to this school. I loved it so much, I still talk about how great it was. It truly prepared me for success. I made the dean's list my Freshman year in college. I graduated from George Mason University. I make a six figure salary. If I still lived in Alabama, I would send my son to this school. I just can't believe their tuition is still so affordable. They're doing a great job of making high quality private education accessible to the community. I wish all schools could be like Chapman.

Students get better training through schools that give them an actual diploma in which they can use to gain entrance to college.

This "school" is NOT accredited by the state and the "diploma" is worthless. It does not meetings minimum standards for college acceptance. It's nothing more than very expensive GED prep classes.

These "teachers" are NOT certified by the state, do NOT have college degrees and are NOT K-12 certified.

The entire "school" is money making scam.

This is not a school. It is a church with non accredited faculty and cannot issue an accredited high school diploma to its students. This school needs to be investigated by the state.
