If you have a child who is in danger of not qualifying for graduation due to their academic level, this is the school to send them to. This school's only objective is to pass kids- not prepare for them for the future, not to actually educate them, not to support them. The advanced teachers actually make an effort, but the regular teachers allow kids to ask questions during exams, cheat off of other students. There is minimal classroom management. My child attended school here for one year and did not bring homework home one time from any of her courses. She was in "advanced" classes. How does that prepare her for real life? We had to move to another city to enroll her in a school that would actually challenge her academically and help her with career pathing. I understand this is a low budget school, but they don't even try.

Some teachers (like Shaddix) were able to make homework beneficial, but others would give homework just to have another grade to put in the books.

The ADVANCED teachers are effective; however, the teachers who are teaching standard are forced to teach at a half pace that benefits neither the students nor the teacher.

I personally never had a problem with bullying because of my personality; however, there were some students that even the teachers would make fun of.

I would give it a 3. This school did not prepare me for Auburn University, but at least the military recruiters talked to everyone once a week (which was far more than what the counselors my senior year did). I can't pass Engineering Calculus 2 at Auburn, but at least I have a pen that says USMC.

I am a student at this school, and I am getting bullied. I told my teachers and the guidance. Nothing has been done about it. Some teachers treat us like 2nd graders

I went here as a student. When I was a Senior, it was the first year that Mrs. Lynn was not principal. To say that chaos ensued would be a bit of an understatement. A lot of the teachers did not care about whether or not we learned, but there were some veteran teachers (some of who are still there, Mrs. Fryer, Coach Blackman, Mrs. Clark, Mr. Chandler, Mr. Lee, Mrs. Knox, and others; and some that aren't) who were remarkable and really shaped me to what I am today. The administration was not as strong as it could have been, but I never had trouble in the system. However, if you're not the right kind of person, it may be hard for the child to get into certain clubs.
