I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. The teachers and staff do everything they can to avoid doing actual teaching in a traditional sense. Everything is "did you check schoology..." It has become their best excuse to avoid any personal accountability as teachers. Well if you posted everything to schoology and aren't expected to do anything else, why even come to school? Not only this, they make it clear they do not actually care about your children or their progress, especially if your child has disabilities. This is my biggest issue. Being a government contractor, I've lived in a lot of different states and this is the first state I've lived in where teachers do not have to follow the 504/IEP plans. They are only required to sign it and then they get to treat your children however they wish. They aren't required to follow the guidelines of these plans and when you call them out on it, they will even say things like "..none of my students are offered this." As in, your child is treated just like every other student rather than legally upholding the ADA law to "accommodate." You will have to take the lead on your child's 504/IEP plan, requesting meetings, etc. They aren't going to go out of their way to do anything regardless of your child's documented. I've had to accept unfortunately that my child may continue failing at this school, as teachers are more determined to practice what they think is "tough love" instead of following the law, and during their senior year I will transition them to homeschool so they don't have to face the humiliation of repeating the remaining courses and graduating with the next class.

When it comes to my recommendation I'm doing this bass off of my experience. I would not recommend this phone I never wanted to go to Bob Jones high School I did not want to education from Bob jones. I'm coming from a school system, back between 2003 to 2004 high school and 9th grade high school is a ninth grade class high school's not middle school. Their middle schools have ninth grade, I completed my PSAT, along with my driver's ed test. In that school system those skills are more interactive more easy to get along with and you know they make sure that everybody was okay. I got forced to move 1 year 4 months from Fayetteville North carolina. I did not appreciate it. When I got to the school, Bob Jones high school, I was being told I could not use my driver's ed, I couldn't use my exit exam, and I couldn't use my psat. I had to retake all those stuff within those 3 years which post me back I was supposed to graduate school in 2005 during that summer. It said I got my school extended 2 years because they went to say that I want to come to their school. One of the faculty and staff had a conversation about not having woodworking or any of the classes that I had and my prior schools and instead he wanted to discuss about why they were prejudice. They're not European they're either Middle Eastern or Latino. The school is quite prejudice many of their students especially them against other cultures especially africans. I wouldn't suggest this school I say go to something that's more interactive. I enjoyed myself from even my private school from fort Campbell well after I went to do procedures the two schools popped up they do not their kids do not care about anything else it just keep yourself personal. I do not suggest this school for your child or children development. They can go other places.

For anybody that's moving to Madison City I would actually advise you to select a dedicated program for your child. I came from a dedicated program from North Carolina. I found that this school wasn't very challenging, causes children to have no interest in wanting to further their learning experience in their programs. They didn't get out early whereas when I came from Cumberland county's North Carolina school system we would get early from the school system ever so often, typically Wednesdays, they experience with the teachers was more of a prejudice type of base experience. One of the faculty and staff that I had a conversation with disclosed that there were quite prejudice in the school and we had to have a conversation about that when school is not about that. The overall experience is terrible. No schools have an advanced degree and a regular degree you have dedicated programs. I find this school not to be of any interest for those who are wanting to pursue a career in an emphasis the study that they wish to further study in. Also when I got transferred to the school system I found out many of my classes were not credited to my degree and the classes that I receive for college credits were not transferred from my prior high school, my prior middle school, and my prior elementary schools. I wouldn't recommend this school for anybody moving. It's best that you just go to Huntsville high School and get a regular degree. Best of luck in your learning experience.

This school is great - if you’re of a certain demographic and social class. If you aren’t, you might as well be homeschooled. Aside from the obvious - that this is the kind of school that cares MORE about sports - Bob Jones only really caters to prospective engineering students. Much like the surrounding community, the school HEAVILY lacks diversity in teachers, staff and students; and speaking of the students, how many times can I mention the words “stuck up, snobby and snooty”? Cliques run deep in their halls and it’s saddening. Blindly put, if you don’t look a certain way, you’re arrogantly ignored during your time there. And something else that’s arrogantly ignored? Accuracies in history. Everything Bob Jones has taught me in history class was extremely one-sided, watered down and ignorantly wrong. THIS SCHOOL PUMPS WRONG AND HURTFUL HISTORY ALLUSIONS UNTIL THEIR STUDENTS. I could go on and on.... bottom line, this school is awful, inside and out.

Awesome school!! Both my kids graduated from Bob Jones and I couldn't have been happier with their experience.

Bob Jones is one of a kind! I went to this school all four years, and it was the best four years of my life. The teachers go above and beyond for their students along with all faculty members. The student body is very welcoming and makes sure everyone has a voice! Sports are excellent all around the board. Most if not all of my former teachers not only taught the required curriculum, but went above the standards and taught us college readiness and life skills to prepare us for the future. Madison City School Systems is where you want your kids to grow up in!

The teachers are very good and experienced. My only comment is based on some students' input about the new principal...there seemed to have a perception of lack of authenticity and cheesiness on the methods used or applied this school year that is not on par with the level of intelligence of the students. These are high performing kids who were a perfect fit with the previous principal. If the previous ways work, pls don't fix it. No more insulting elementary- level tricks. Overall, teachers and counselors are superb. Great thank you to these educators. To the new principal, pls talk to these kids like high performing intelligent conscientious students who really just want to excel and appreciate the high standards.

My high school was Bob Jones High School, and I absolutely loved it! The principal is an amazing guy, you would never hear a negative word about him. I am proud to be a Bob Jones Patriot!

Bob Jones High School is just great. I have a brother who got a half-time scholarship from track just after one year and he is now a senior in a college in KY. I was at Bob Jones for my freshman year then transferred to another school in Harvest (will not state) and Bob Jones had twice the amount of AP and advanced classes then the other school. I had transferred late at the school in Harvest and the teachers did not help at all when I asked for help. I did unexceptionally horrible there. So I think I had made the best choice of my teen years and went back to Bob Jones. I'm not just saying this because it seems like everyone does and as if I wanna quack like a duck too but I HIGHLY recommend this school to ANYONE!

I'm both a Bob Jones teacher and a parent of two current students and a BJHS graduate. This is, hands down, the absolute best school I've ever seen. The students are well behaved and conscientious, the academics are top notch, and the teachers truly care about student well being and the quality of instruction that they bring to the table. We ask a lot of our students and they deliver.
