Most of the teachers here are great. The class schedules are great. The problem is with the 3 at the top. Barrentine, Miller, and Watts. They are equally disrespectful school boys that mentally never made it past high school. They are bullies and say disrespectful things to students and deny it when confronted. Typical of a school boy. If not for these 3 this school would be amazing!!! Skipperville will be much better off when these clowns move on.

The school and teachers are great but when you factor in the principle, Daniel Barrentine, well then it would make it a -5. Yes he has received a principle of the year award (why?!) and the school has great stats but the students are the ones make the stats good. This principle is a condensing bully. Dont get in trouble because then you are put on the bad list and will always get singled out by him. Then he has his puppet, Drew Miller, that tries to be intimidating but doesnt succeed in that beside standing there like a big lump to make sure that no one messes with his puppet master.
School is somewhere to learn but not here, you get bullied by the principal. If you do something off campus when school is not in session, you will be called to the office and get in trouble. Off campus things need to stay off campus, if there is a problem contact the parent instead of trying to scare the student.
Just make sure you are popular, you donate a lot of money to the school and kiss Daniel Barrentines rear and you will do great in this school.
Daniel Barrentine is a horrible principle and human being both in school and outside. Word of mouth will spread as fast as wildfire.

I would rate my experience three out of ten. The favorites are solely based on of you are part of the Long or Hughes family. That is how people get into sports mainly. I am not part of those families, therefore my experience has been much less than ideal.

It is difficult to teach respect to students if the teachers don't respect the students as an example for them. Most teachers also have no compassion for students.

This school thinks that bullying is only physical. When there is cyberbullying, no action is taken.

I attended G. W. Long K-12 and I would not have it any other way. The teachers care about each and every student. They helped make me the person I am today. When I finally have kids I would not want them to grow up anywhere else. Not only is it a great school but it is supported by a great community. A community that still believes in traditional southern values, where everyone is your neighbor.

School is run by the Hughes, Longs and their counterparts. My grandkids attend there and favoritism toward this group is unbelievable. If your not in this crowd, then you are a nobody. They run athletics, pageants, and everything else that benefits them or their kids.
