Teachers there do bare minimum. The teacher my child had took away food as punishment, and the teachers also take away recess as punishment. Principal is 0 help and does not return emails. My child also came home so hungry every day because her teacher rarely let the students have snack. So glad I got my kid out.

Excellent academic school I've found in the Huntsville area. Their rating should be higher in my opinion. Ms. Ashely the principal is wonderful and understanding.. my girls have Ms. Bennett who teaches second grade it is absolutely wonderful with my child who is ADHD and has gotten paperwork for the gifted program. My other child in third grade has a very unique teacher and her style of teaching and out of all of her years of going to school I can say this is the best teacher she has ever had. My youngest is in pre-K and is low functioning autistic the school cannot handle a child with disabilities being in pre-k so he was sent to another school where he flourishes at with that said I am extremely nervous about having him coming back to our zoned School. The main secretary in the office is absolutely horrid and rude and one of the IEP teachers is absolutely horrific I do not know how this individual has a job she speaks to kids without disabilities in such a rude and demeaning manner that it makes you wonder what she does behind closed doors with children who can't come home and voice their opinion about what happened unless there is a behavioral change. With that said again academically the school is phenomenal both of my girls make straight A's one offered to the gifted program but there are some hiccups with certain individuals overall I would have recommended as a great School it is predominantly Caucasian and my children are mixed and occasionally realize that their hair is different. We've been at the school for 2 years the first year my children were picked on their hair was touched because it is different than the Caucasian children and they have been called derogatory names due to their color.

Farley Elementary is a hidden gem within Huntsville City Schools. Its one of the smaller schools in the district with is nice. The faculty and staff all have one goal and that is the students. I love this school.

The teachers at this school are always willing to bend over backwards for their students. They are so compassionate and hard working, they really make the school!

We love Farley! I have two kids enrolled and they love their school and their teachers. One of my kids is in GATE and its an amazing opportunity. The teachers treat the kids like they are their own and I feel very safe having my children at this school. They learn so much and have an amazing time doing it! Im honestly sad we will be graduating to middle school next year because we dont want to leave. Excellent school highly recommend!!!

We love Farley! When choosing where to live we knew of the close knit family feel of the Farley community. The teachers and staff always have a smile on their faces, know our child by name, and go out of their way to address any needs or concerns of parents. We could not ask for a better school to send our child to.

Our child has attended since Kindergarten and is now in 5th grade. We have loved the smaller class sizes and the quality education that she has received at every grade level. There is a dedicated focus on STEM/STEAM, including competitive robotics and Green Power teams. Onsite GATE (Gifted and Talented) staff is another plus.

My children have been attending Farley Elementary since we moved to Huntsville, in Jan 2014. I have nothing but good things to say about teachers at each grade level! They have all loved on my children and even with my oldest, who is now in middle school. the teachers are still invested in his education and want to know how he is doing.
We're looking into moving in the next year or so, but will not be leaving the Farley zone!

This school refuses to deal with bullying. I've been up there weekly all year and my children were continuously bullied by the same "rich" kids.

The first school my children have been to that they absolutely love. The teachers are amazing and really care about the kids. The principal is absolutely fabulous!!! He goes out of his way for the students. Could not ask for a better school for my kids.

My children have been at Farley for several years, and I have found it to be a great school with a fabulous group of teachers and staff that really care about the children at the school. You can see the PTA working to encourage parent involvement and improve communication.

This school has been awesome! The school has gotten a bad rap from past parents due to the leadership at this school. With a complete overhaul in leadership from the top down and new PTA leadership this school has turned things around. My son started school here and my daughter graduated from here.

My family experience at Farley was horrible. My son was bullied,called horrible names etc. This school may be good for some but for sure not for my family. I can't write all that I want to say because this site has guidelines.
