As parents of three students who have attended New Century Technology High School, we are so very glad that we were able to have our children attend this school. We have had one student in the Biomedical strand, one in the Computer Science strand, and one in the Engineering strand. Each of these strands provided detailed instruction in subject matter far beyond a typical high school education. This allowed our children to experience material that enabled them to learn about various skills, opportunities for study, and potential career paths related to their interests. Our children enjoyed their time at New Century and we all agree that it prepared them well for the next steps in life.

New Century is an amazing high school and if your child is interested in pursuing a career in biomedical, enginnering or computer sciences, its the number one school in Huntsville, #2 in the state and the #60 in the United States based on US News & World Reports in 2024. There are tons of after school programs and a first class JROTC program and if your student is driven and focused, the school in partnership with some of the leading companies in the world will provide internships during the junior or senior year of the student's time at New Century. We moved from Texas to Huntsville and were looking for a first rate tech school for our son to attend and he is entering his senior year in 24-25; and New Technology has opened up so many amazing options for him to pursue a career in engineering and the JRTOC is providing him experience because he would also like to be in the military at the same time. Great job and we can never thank the Huntsville Schools and New Century leadership for this amazing opportunity for our son.

My overall experience at New Century has been incredibly positive and life-changing!
Mr. Archer has made me want to go into a computer career field. He makes learning tough material as fun as possible and has a really cool personality.
New Century rocks! You wont regret going here. It also looks good on a resume for college and future jobs.

This is one thing being worked on but is not generally seen as a major hinderance. Most students seem to feel comfortable talking to a favorite teacher or adult on campus about issues that arise.

I have 2 children at this school. The academics are phenomenal. The only reason I don't give this 4 stars is I think there needs to be more physical fitness opportunities for the students outside of gym class freshman year. Physical fitness is every bit as important as academics. Afterschool sports clubs would make this school perfect.

This is my senior year at New Century, and though you might think I would be more than excited about graduating and leaving high school strictly to my memories, it's quite a bittersweet event. Before NCTHS, I had never attended, nor heard of, a school where the teachers treat you like actual human beings. The teachers truly care about their students and actually help them, not just view them as a ticket to a paycheck. NC is the first school I have gone to consecutively since elementary school, and with good reason. Since (almost) every student strives for a good education and life of happiness, we get along and work together as more of a family than just a class. Being a small school, we know each other's names, we help each other, and we all want to be able to hug each other after walking across the stage in May. To any parent of a future student reading this, I highly recommend you enroll your child. Take it from a student getting ready to leave, the experience is great, the teachers are wonderful and clearly know what they are doing, and, all around, it is truly a wonderful school.

This school has such a great concept, students get to learn technology now instead of when it costs me money in college or tech school. They don't have sports but the kids can compete at their home schools and they have other after school programs that fit their students like Cyber Security team, Programming Team, plus the traditional school clubs like Science, Language clubs, year book etc. I am happy I sent my son to NCTHS
