Zero out of ten. The fourth grade is the worst. They are letting those kids down. They just aren't theaching the quantity or quality of material that they should. If you want an academically successful child, avoid this school.

There was a deaf student who was simply left without a sign translator. He was a bright inquisitive kid who was being ignored.

I picked up my third grader after school. It was during the after hours extended stay. They were on the playground next to the building. When I walked around the play equipment to get my son, a kid had another child pinned to the ground by his throat. I knew the bully kid and his father, who was also a bully. The adults (three adults) who were supposed to be watching them were just standing in a huddle talking about whatever gossip, and weren't really watching. Also, my son often complains about bullying being tolerated.

6th grade is a tough year for any kid. I had it rough I was picked on a bit. We still respected our teachers because we had consequences. I don't entirely blame the teachers or the principal. It's mostly the school boards idea that Huntsville city schools will look nicer to people moving here to see that we don't have much reported discipline. My child did spend a lot of time in the councilors office I was extremely disappointed that they let him down all the time and had to say there's nothing I could do about it. And he's smart enough to know that the principal and teachers could have done better.

My son had advanced classes and I was relieved that he didn't get slammed with homework.

Effective at teaching yes. Most were good at class room management. Some were definitely not.

The lack of discipline in this school, shows the kids they can disrespect the teachers and their classmates.

My son was bullied consistently all year. He was not the only one. Even nice kids from 5th grade learned they could act out and have no consequences.

This is our first year at this school. I LOVE it. As a parent I love how they will get back with you on any concerns you have about your child. My child seems to like it as well.

I Love Going To School Everyday Because The Teachers Are Really Fun And Make Jokes A Lot But You Also Learn A Lot From Them. For Upcoming 6th Graders, All Of The 6th Grade Teachers Are The BEST. Your Going To Have Sooo Much Fun Here. Also, I Heard Mr. Leschensky Is Fun for 7th or 8th Grade, Im Not Sure Yet :) .
