Two of my kids attended this school and both sufferwd bullying not only from other kids but teachers and even from Principal Ketcher.

I don’t think they are inclusive at all.

Teachers and staff were rude with kids.

I'm a Forest Park grandparent. Whenever a new generation in my family comes along, we make sure they live in the Forest Park district. We're on the third generation so far.

Both of our children have had a wonderful experience at Forest Park. The teachers are incredible and they truly care about each and every student. There is a wonderful community atmosphere, and the school truly feels like family. There are so many ways to become involved as a family from the school garden to the many events hosted throughout the year. It truly is an amazing place.

Things may be different now, but when my child was in attendance it was not an environment that was conducive to his learning. Communication was poor. My child struggled significantly with ADHD and there was no support to get him on track. When I reached out I felt unsupported as well. Interim should not be when I find out he is failing. Parents were rude and exclusive during events. Some events we were conveniently not informed of. I did not want to believe it was because my son and I were persons of color, but after consulting with other parents of color, the feelings were mutual. During a trip to the space museum the parents congregated and talked about the black children not knowing that the mother of a bi-racial child sat in to get an earful. It was awful and disgusting. I ended up removing my child.

Forest Park is an amazing neighborhood school in a wonderful area of Little Rock. We have two children that attend and have been so impressed with the caliber of instruction they’re receiving and the community they’re supported by. The teachers care so much about each child and go above and beyond to encourage and every learner. The school also has a wonderful community of parents that add so much to the school’s culture, and the students are so sweet and supportive of their classmates. There are numerous extracurricular offerings and the school garden is a magical place for classrooms and families to visit. Forest Park is truly a school like no other. We feel so blessed to be able to send our children there.

I'm sure there are great teachers here, but we happened to have one who was rude at our very first meeting, and this subsequently devolved into twisting words and being misleading to parents. Believe the way she instilled discipline was through fear and humiliation. As a parent and teacher, I strongly disagree with this approach, especially in Kindergarten. For example, she would literally throw some kid’s end of the day files on the floor, but hand them nicely to others. Or she would yell at kids for things like using too much glue. Such a lazy way of teaching. Moreover, she would ignore some parents to the point of turning their back on them and gossiping/lying to other parents and teachers. Terrible kind of example to set for young kids and got to the point of feeling bad every day that I had to drop off my kid there, and worrying about their safety. In summary: an emotionally unstable person on a power trip has no business whatsoever being around young children, let alone teaching them without supervision. I felt so strongly about this that our family moved to another school district so my younger children wouldn’t have the misfortune of being around that teacher. Again, sure there are good teachers, but giving a one star because of this particular Kindergarten teacher

Forest Park is such a loving, inclusive place where every student is treated with care. Each year, as my children get older, we wonder which teacher we'll be assigned - and when we ask other parents who is the best, the answer is always: you can't go wrong at Forest Park. I feel lucky to be able to send my children there.

My kids 4th grade class voted for a kid that was pretty shy but very nice kid for the principal award. It's given out each year during their promotion ceremony and is the highest honor. To me showed the kids vote for the one with that best fit that honor vs maybe the most"popular " kid. I was very proud of the surfers and it showed me the message is getting across to them.

Hands down the best public school we have ever experienced and it is up there with the best private school! We have been so fortunate to be a part of it. It is a school that you need to be involved in thoughas a parent to get the full experience. Parents are very welcoming though, so just jump in and enjoy it.

I was very pleased with not only the atmosphere but I liked both teachers involved with my grandchild she learned so much at that school. I am upset that the Little Rock School District would not automactically put her back in the same school despite her address. It was the as when she was in 4 year program. Excellent school. Felt good about security too. Loved it Love it. Thanks Forest Park Staff Love what you are doing keep it up.

National Blue Ribbon School. The teachers and parents work hard and support students academically and emotionally. Forest Park state test scores rank among the highest in the state.

The head of the PTA this year has a Harvard Law Degree but she's a 'stay-at-home' mom! That tells you something about the quality of the parent participation. Great teachers, great parents equal great students. The school will receive an award from the President in a few days, only 200 elementary schools in the whole country received the award, (That includes all private schools too!) It can't get any better than Forest Park!!
