The school overall is amazing! Let’s speak on that dance department/class. They are adults who teach these girls ballet and etc. the ones the favoritism needs to be studied. The dance dept is NOT fair and they get away with it every year. Everything is is amazing at this school teachers included. Shout out to Ms.Nelson and Miranda for always being involved with these students.

There are tons of problems with bullying and the teachers do not help at all. There is ablism between the different kids with them punishing kids with mental disabilities more and then picking favorites with other kids even if their behavior is much worse.

I have been at this school for 2 years and I am counting down the excruciating days until I never have to see it again. I am falling behind on a lot of my classes because I am given more homework and classwork than I can keep up with. My teachers always complain about me not having it done and never think to help me. I am also bullied almost every single day and no matter how many times I talk to the principle about it it never gets any better. Please parents: IF YOU EVERY THINK ABOUT SENDING YOUR KIDS TO THIS SCHOOL THEN DONT. DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID COMING TO THIS SCHOOL. PLEASE.

Both of my kids are panther alumni and flourished at OGMS. The teachers went above and beyond and really cared. Most of the families and students embrace the importance of academics so a culture of excellence and high standards was present. My kids were involved in extra curricular activities and report that their middle school years there were fun.

There is lots of bullying and drug use particularly alcohol abuse in the students at this school.

My daughter is beginning her 2nd year at OGM and she's had a wonderful experience. I thought the school did a great job with the incoming 6th graders with making the transition to middle school as easy as possible. Every teacher my daughter had was very supportive, encouraging and helpful. We are an open enrolled family and have been since kindergarten within Catalina Foothills and never has a teacher treated her differently because of that. In fact close to 50% of the students are open enrolled, so I don't know what one of the previous posters is talking about. Catalina Foothills offers their students an amazing public education experience.

my son's experience here was terrible. The Be Kind sign at the front really seems to be just that a sign on the wall. A couple of teachers really interested in ALL the kids most just playing favoritism. My son answer to how are your teachers' question was? they treat different people differently. I was sad to hear that.

This school district does not live up to the hype. Rosenthal was so dismissive of every concern I had about my child. The problems with bullying there are beyond the scope of anything I have ever experienced anywhere else, and the school doesn't do anything about it. There is also a strong stigma against open enrollment kids among the faculty. This district has the highest teacher turnover of any district in the city, and the only ones who can tolerate the environment are the type A, rigid, inflexible personality types. My child went from being an enthusiastic learner and winning awards in particular subjects to hating school and being miserable all the time. During seventh grade, not a single teacher was a fit for her personality- so much so I wanted to pull her out the day after parent night. Mouthy, know-it-all early 20 somethings are all this district can attract. We are now in a private school, where she is safe from relentless bullying, and where she actually enjoys learning again.

How can the staff at Orange Grove middle school allow or permit a child to return to school after this child brought a water bottle filled with Vodka to school???? Only thing done about it was expelled for a month. WOW!!!!!! Parents be aware that the staff at orange grove do not care about the well being of your children. They only care about their status and pay " which isn't much by the way " but are not qualified at a real school that has ethics.

I have a child in 7th grade at Orange Grove Middle School, and I LOVE it. She also loves it! The school and learning environment are wonderful -- excellent teachers, great band, strong athletics, lots of technology that is well-integrated into the classes, etc. I can't say enough good things about the education my child is getting and especially what smart, kind, creative, and caring teachers she has. They really seem to love their job, and they actually make learning fun for my child -- imagine that!!! Even when an issue comes up -- which is very rare -- everyone sincerely seems to care about fixing it. Exactly what a great middle school should be.

This is an awesome school it is the best around every one is nice the teachers are very qualified there are so many after school classes that are great and not to expensive it is the best middle school there is out there you should come.
