I have been surprisingly delighted with the experience I have had with this school! My son is autistic and has been provided with amazing support from the staff. Their IEP meetings were detailed and truly individualized to my child.

I love this school, the teachers want students to succeed and go the extra mile to help students learn and grow.

Many good teachers at PV. Also a few bad eggs, but it balances out

Principal Brock is very patient as well as much of the faculty. I've very often approached a teacher for help with personal amd academic issues and most are very willing to help.

I didn't know my freshman year that a bamd program even existed at PV. Admin does a poor job of noting fine arts.

I'm not sure how disabled students are treated by faculty, but I do know that there's an elevator and a very fine special education program.

I've had issues with other students and teachers, and I've had many good resolutions as many problems that went unresolved.

Fantastic. I loved attending Palo Verde. There's a ton of great AP programs and extracurricular activities. Band is my personal favorite. The fine arts program here is very underrated and sadly does not get enough attention from the rest of the faculty/students. Great fine arts department. Lots of good students and teachers. Teachers are very flexible and allow before and after school tutoring. I've also had teachers at this school willing to tutor over the weekend. Palo Verde is a happy medium between lots of work and what you're comfortable with.

Palo Verde has really "turned it around". Take a look at our Achievements: In the 2011-2012 school year, Palo Verde earned a B rating according to the Arizona Department of Education Letter Grade Evaluation. 99% of Palo Verde students completed the AIMS testing in 2011-2012 school year. 86% graduation rate in 2012. 80% of students show overall satisfaction with school (2012 School Quality Survey) Over 60 students participated in job shadow/internship experiences in the 2011-2012 school year. First high school in TUSD to hold AP Boot Camp. Finished 4th in TUSD Superintendent s Cup Competition in 2012. Placed 2nd in the State Girls Soccer Tournament in 2012. Reached the Final 4 in the State Girls Basketball Tournament in 2012. Best of the Best Award - 2012 Cleanest High School in TUSD. I'm proud of our STUDENTS, our TEACHERS & STAFF, and the dynamic moving force: the ADMINISTRATION! Take a look yourself. Attend our Fine Arts Presentations, see the "Students of the Month" and Award ceremonies, watch our Athletes in their chosen sports. It's sad to see what Palo Verde has turned out to be. It was such a great school in the past and now not only are locker doors just hanging all broken, but they can't even keep the teachers, one of my son's still doesn't have a math teacher and it's already the beginning of the second quarter. My other son keeps getting his classes switched around( no teacher, not enough students, etc.) So sad!!! We'll be looking for another school for next year.
