I have been going to this school since Kindergarten and have loved my experience. The school provides a great education, and a safe environment to learn. The students that misbehave or break certain rules, get in trouble as long as they have been reported. The lunch is lowkey mid, but there is food in all categories. A few friends of mine have also gone to this school since kindergarten, and have never complained. The schools include parents/families in activities to raise money for the school.

Some of the teachers, I feel like, don't really care about the education of their students. Those teachers normally are lazy and do not push my kid hard enough. One year, my kid almost got straight a's in almost every semester. This was genuinely concerning because that normally doesn't happen for my kid. There was also rarely any homework that year. Some of the staff are rude. However, there are still some teachers who properly teach the kids. They gave out homework and help my kid push and work hard. These teachers are actually part of the reason my kid has gotten into a new hobby; reading. I am mostly concerned about the other students though. My kid says they have a hard time connecting with the other kids because she can't catch up on everything. The students are on social media a lot, and now my kid wants social media platforms too. I do not want my child to be staring at her devices all the time or be exposed to bad things. The students talk inappropriately on messaging apps. This causes lots of drama and my kid is not suit for drama. Some students taunt the teachers. There is some rudeness among the students.

Do NOT send your child to this unprofessionally run school. No one knows what's going on there and there's terrible turnover, which explains how little the teachers want to be there. The administration is run by schmucks that have zero clue about any HR-related stuff and , hey, it's a school that has had a staff member interacting INAPPROPRIATELY with students not once but TWO YEARS IN A ROW. That says it all. Don't put your kid here if you love your child. It's just a bad vibe all around. Go elsewhere and thank me later.

This is the worst school I have ever brought my child to. If I could go back in time, I would have never brought my child to the school. They had been bullied and not just by students, but also by teachers who are not nice at all and didn't teach my daughter in the way she needed. My daughter told me that every time she'd go to any core class she had, she couldn't learn and when she tried to explain that she couldn't catch up, she was shamed publicly in front of all her peers that she shouldn't go to the school if she can't keep up. This was really bad for her, because she was just a young kid who wanted and try to be better at something she knew she couldn't accomplish. And instead of trying to push her forward, they knocked her down. The principal did nothing to stop this at all. They also hired really bad teachers who didn't even get a degree and are not qualified to be teaching. She said this was the worst school experience she's had. I've seen my daughter come back home crying more times than I'd like to admit. It's not only because of bullying, it's also because of the workload. They have no time in class to do their work. And when they do, they get more work on top of it. I really do wish the school was better but I can't change anything.

Do NOT send your child here. Students bring weapons and are not questioned about it. Teachers wrongfully accused students on anything and do unacceptable searches on students due to appearance. This is not diverse at all with less than 5% in minorities. Teachers are inappropriate and disrespectful towards students. I went here and I left in 7th grade because of my poor treatment.

My children have had an outstanding experience at Presidio. The educators demonstrate exceptional proficiency, and the administration team consistently exhibits a willingness to listen and provide support to the best of their ability. The principal is particularly commendable; her knowledge and commitment to addressing concerns through thoughtful solutions are truly impressive.

It is unfortunate to encounter some negative reviews; however, upon examination, it becomes evident that these critiques appear to stem from former students who may not have adhered to the school's policies. It is likely that any parent leaving a negative review had a child who faced disciplinary actions, which can be challenging for some to accept.

Overall, Presidio offers an educational environment that significantly surpasses that of the district schools, particularly for those seeking to ensure that their child does not become overlooked. Many districts allow for leniency due to the large student populations, which can result in a lack of accountability for certain behaviors. Too bad we had to move away. I wish we had a school here that was like our beloved Presidio.

I would personally not recommend this school to anyone the campus is often dirty and the school counselor is not kind or helpful to the students she cares more about what your wearing then what your feeling I just would not recommend this school considering teachers arent great and this school is not as good as they say it is. The students here are also rude.

The front desk ladies are extremly nice and friendly.
Never really interacted with the principal.
My child did not recieve very much support when she didn't understand certain things.
The after school tutoring was just a hang out with no support.
When i was in school, the counselors were there to help and support the children... that is not the case here. This counselor has been a bully to my child and I'm sure many more.
My daughter was dealing with Seggual innapropriateness from a peer but did not not feel safe around this woman to bring it to her attention.
I'm not sure how anyone can sleep at night not being good to children. Please be careful with your children.

I would not recommend this school to anyone I am horrified by these teachers and how the school treats the kids. This school obviously doesn't care about anything besides its reputation to the point where they dont even care enough to buy vollyball court. I have been at this schoo for several years now and I can say with pride that I have had no good years. The teachers here dont care about the students and its obvious and simple. I would never even suggest this school to anyone. In the past year a boy has brought a knife and a girl was intoxicated in 8th grade. This school clearly has to start caring for there students. There are a few teachers who are amazing and should be treated with respect.

Excellent School. The teachers are very supportive of my child. My child used to get behind in school, but this school won't let them. Students who get behind or complete their homework incorrectly have the opportunity for remediation after school or make up on Saturday mornings. This was the answer for my child who would often get behind or not understand the homework and go ahead and write anything down just to turn the homework in. It only took a couple of Saturdays to correct this practice.

What a great school, My child started at Presidio in middle school. After coming from an educational nightmare this school was able to provide the nurturing my child needed to believe that success was a possibility. That possibility quickly became a reality due to the kindness and support of the teachers, staff and fellow students. The teachers take pride in their work and are available both to the students and the parents and seem to genuinely want the students accomplish their goals. The school chooses to empower the students by teaching them the pillars of character and expects the students to respect and support one another. Bullying is simply not tolerated. I have spoken with both teachers and administrators and have found them to be willing to listen and they have readily addressed any and all concerns. The fact that this school is open on Saturday for any student needing to use the facilities computers or instruction aides shows the willingness to go above and beyond. High school offers AP classes with an expectation of a collegiate future. Very few sports but they do offers some unique experiences. Wright Flight, Sea Camp in San Diego, Camping on Mt Lemon, Capoeira, Art and even a school Band just to name a few.

My children have been attending Presidio for 6 years. The teachers are very dedicated to their work. The smaller class sizes (usually 17-20 students) allow the teachers to give more 1 on 1 time with students. There is a great community feel around campus with older students mentoring younger students. They have a strong focus on Math which I really enjoy.
The "specials" classes include traditional types like art and music, but also tumbling and Capoeira (which my kids just love!). One knock I would give is there is sometimes a lack of communication from the front office on events or special days.

Overall Presidio School is a great school with a quality staff. Both of my sons love their friends and teachers and look forward to school!

I am impressed with how this school has developed into an "A for Arizona" school of excellence. The principal, Dr. Saliba, and the entire faculty are knowledgeable, professional, and really care for the students. Both our children are receiving a quality education with an emphasis 21st century skills. The school lives up to the Presidio family and we are proud to be part of it!

The highly qualified teachers have shown their knowledge in the classes with both our children. We continue to be impressed with their ability to teach in a small classroom environment giving individual attention to all our children's classmates. Kudos to the new extracurricular sports programs added this year!

With the Academic Lab being open on weekends and the teachers holding study halls in their classrooms after the school day, my wife and I found that we have more quality time with our children. They both have actual homework, but it is very rarely overwhelming. Thank you teachers for making yourselves available beyond the school day!

My son has attended Presidio for 7yrs now, and will continue to go there. Presidio is an awesome and amazing school where kids get quality education at its best and great preparation for college. I totally recommend Presidio to all parents!

To finish my review. Along with the traditional, basic classes this provides for a well rounded program. Breakfast and lunch are catered with healthy nutritious food. No vending machines on campus! When our child goes thru those front doors we are secure in the knowledge that he is safe. How many parents feel that way when their child goes to another school? I wish that those parents that write negative reviews behind the shield of this website would let Presidio know what the problem(s) are to give them a chance to correct the situation. Did you not get the answer YOU wanted to hear? Where you rude/mean to the administration, staff or those nice sweet ladies behind the front desk who deal with us parents everyday with a smile and kindness? The parent comnenting on their student and teacher has no clue. For one this teacher's Aims test scores were sone of the highest in the state so if your child did poorly look at the roit cause. If the child was outside often they were being a distraction and removed like all teachers do when distractions occur. This teacher was out with a legitimate medical issue. He sttod up for the kids when a member of the staff would go in and harass hin and the students during tests. He endured prejudice as well. So before speaking I assune you went to the school to observe the teacher in action? The admin is a group that fired a teacher after instructing him not to speak to parents about how to get help from the federal government on getting the school the requred instructio for their child with a learning disability. TeachersIinforned admin but they ignored it saying it costs too much. They kicked many kids out that performed poorly due to learning disabilities.

I had three children enrolled at Presidio for two years. Two in elementary and one in high school. Our first year and second could not have been more different. The first year we were there they had an amazing lunch program and even custom omelets and waffles at in the morning. The kids loved getting to school early and having breakfast with friends but I noticed how few parents seemed to be involved. Our oldest struggled and started to fall through the cracks and the school didn't communicate with us. The second year the lunches went to nothing but garbage, the office staff was spotty to say the least, every attempt I made to get more involved was pushed aside. Near the end of the year they lost one of the best teachers I've met. The campus is anything but secure I constantly saw kids leaving and returning to campus after school and the Academic lab was never something that benefited any of my children.The teachers are great, my issues came from the administration. I am very thankful none of my children needed any form of special attention or they would have been out of luck at this school. Don't let the sweet front desk ladies fool you, the admin is awful.

I absolutely love this school! My daughter started here for kindergarden because she was one day short of the TUSD cut off. The original plan was to probably switch to a TUSD school later but we have since fallen in love with the school and now she's in second grade with no plans of leaving! The staff is wonderful, great teachers, and small class size. I feel like the teachers really care about the kids and they and the staff are really engaged and not just there because it's a job. I have an older child that went through the TUSD system and I would tell any parent that Presidio is leaps and bounds above the other schools that I have been involved with. They have lots of "specials" classes that expose the kids to art, music, tae kwon do and more. They also provide after school care at a reasonable price if needed.

We entered our daughter in Presidio's advanced placement kindergarten program because we felt like she was ready to start school, but her birthday missed the public school cutoff by only a few days. We figured we'd start her at Presidio and then move to a different school closer to our home for first grade. That all changed when we fell in love with Presidio! She's now in 2nd grade, and will be continuing at Presidio for 3rd grade. We love the small school atmosphere and the individual attention she receives, not only from her classroom teacher, but from specials teachers and even office staff. Academics are rigorous, but teachers also foster curiosity and exploration in students-it does not feel like Presidio teachers simply "teach to the test." Specials include art, music, and physical activity (tae kwon do, tumbling and health/PE). Overall the Presidio experience has led my daughter to be a well-educated, well-rounded and engaged student. We are very happy.

My daughter attends Presidio School I entered her in their Advanced placement Kinder program, she was 4 when she started. I drove across town to bring her to this school as no other districts in the Tucson area at that time would accept her at the age of 4. In fact I have actually moved to be closer to school. This school is excellent. I love how every one is so friendly and most the staff know your child by first name even if they are not in their classrooms. Its an amazing school with great curriculum. My daughter has been an honor roll student since she started! I love it!

Our daughter has been attending Presidio school since kinder' Now in 2nd this year we have our middle child in kinder as well and our last will begin in August!. The entire staff (administration, office and individual teachers) know our entire family personally. Presidio's programs emphasize education , creativity, and character . I especially love "Pillars of Character" The parents and teachers are also very involved in promoting extra -curricular activities and it is always fun to see bake sales. Our children have increased their confidence and math skills as well as reading and science comprehension, interest and curiosity. We truly love Presidio School! We love it soo much all our children will attend! We can't get over all of staff members (Administration, Office, Teacher's every single one) They are Amazing! Thank you Presidio!

My child has attended Presidio School since 3rd grade. She has met or exceeded the high standards of their curriculum consistently. To me that translates to an outstanding level of teaching that has led her to success. In addition to rigorous academics she has been provided an enriching program that includes: music, arts and physical education. Participation in top educational programs like Wright Flight and providing relevant and exciting field trips is another reason Presidio is ranked as an A+ school. The atmosphere fosters character, kindness and compassion. I m proud to say we are part of the Presidio family.

I am a parent of a high school student at Presidio. At first, I was very afraid of sending my kid to a charter because she has had so much trouble since middle school. However, I can honestly say that Presidio has been wonderful. They have GREAT high school teachers, especially their science teacher (I can't post his name, but you can't miss him!) who not only knows so much about science but also really cares about his students. He has changed my kid's life. She hated science and now she wants to be a Biologist or go to medical school. I can't wait to see what she accomplishes in her life. I will not lie to you though. The curriculum is tough, but it will truly prepare your child for college. And they keep tabs on the kids - no one is left behind. Also, they do treat each student like family. The Facebok page always has calls for help for students that are in need. Not only that, the school sent almost all of the high schoolers to SeaCamp in San Diego this year, which my student and her friends really enjoyed (once again, thank you Doctor Science Teacher). I cannot say enough about this school! It truly is one of the best kept secrets in Tucson. Thank you, Presidio!

This scool is fantastic. My daughter is getting ready ti wrap up her 3rd year she will start 9th Grade next year. She started at Presidio right out of Elementary School. She generally dislikes school and yet here she brings home all A's and B's. The after school and Saturday Acedemic Lab is wonderful if the need to catch up or need extra help with any work. The extracirricular activities such as dance, tae kwon do, and art are perfect for her as she does not need the distraction of 50 different sctivities to choose from. The small class size is a definite plus. In her 3 years there her class has never exceeded 16 kids. I ofter hear from the teachers if my child beging to fall behing or is missing assignments. The cirriculum is strict, but that is exactly what my child needs. I would be afraid of too many distractions if my child were to attend a regular public school. I would recommend this school to any person.

My daughter started kindergarten this fall and is loving Ms. Jessica's class! I'm very happy with the level of contact I have with her teacher. My daughter brings home a folder with things from school everyday. I have had to email Ms. Jessica on a couple of things and she responds back right away. It's been great! We participated in a school event where we helped build their garden classroom. Even my 20 month old got in on the fun. My daughter beamed with pride at open house, taking me to each of her classrooms (music, art, etc.). Presidio School is even on facebook so I get various updates and get to see pictures of various activities. It's so fun! We love Presidio School!
