This schools environment does not embrace diversity at all. Black children in particular can feel isolated and unaccepted. There were some inappropriate racial issues against my child made by other students and the couple who runs the school showed lack of interest in doing something to make us feel our child would be safe from haters of Black people at the school. Also one of the elementary teachers allowed bias political talk in her classroom, for example President Donald Trump loves God, but Biden hates God. We heard and saw a lot of things that were just not right to allow in a Christian school in todays modern day society. I would advise Black families to stay away from this school, its simply not worth it to put your child through this type of negativity. We pray no other family experiences what we did at this school and actually pay the school for this type of ignorance.

I am so pleased with this school. They take care of every single child as their own, the staff and teachers all teach the children how to respect and be kind to each other. My experience with VCCS is by far the BEST school for any child. They are safe, they learn about GOD and learn about their faith in Jesus.

Keep looking. There are plenty of good options out there. THIS is NOT one of them. Their turnover is super high. Once the newness wears off, it is not a friendly environment. The education quality is poor and many decisions are made regarding your child's day that you are not aware of...i.e. senior buddies supervising for periods of time, etc. It's a setup for disaster. Other legitimate school options would be Ventura Missionary, College Heights...for the same cost with more programs. It's a no-brainer.

This school was one of the largest factors in the person I am today. How many students do you know who would write a review about their high school? Honestly, this school and all it's loving teachers who did nothing but love and respect me, even at my worst, is the reason I've turned out successful. I give it all to God, but I am so grateful for him guiding me to and through this school!

My children / child have attended here 3 years now. It's a great, affordable school that adheres to Godly principles without concerning themselves with worldly ways and means. If you want your child to learn the from decent humans beings without being endangered by bizarre behavioral practices this is the place. The school is located in the USA so it really emphasizes in learning proper English to the fullest extent.

Do not send your child to this school! Ask yourself why the enrollment has been declining over the past seven years. Successsful schools ar growing and are not as easy to get into.

Ventura county Christian school is not recommended at all. Look elsewhere for a good school.

The parent volunteers hassle new students parents to volunteer and they are always begging for money, even despite charging a substantial tuition. My daughter would have received the same quality education, if not better, from the local public school. They embrace the legalistic christian attitude and they are not selective about who they enroll (even though they pretend to be). Extremely disappointed!

Combo classes. Too many grade levels for one teacher. Too many fundraisers. Not enough programs. No Spanish. No music instruments. Small computer use.

This a a great small school where the care my 7th grade son receives is way above what he would receive at the local middle public school here in town. Teh teachers are truly invested in the kids and care about thier learning and foster a Spirit filled environment. It's a place where a kid can be a Christian, not feel the enormous peer pressures placed on kids in public schools. the environment at the school doesn't tolerate exclusion but inclusion of everyone, even new comers are welcomed by the kids here. The parent involvement could be better, it's slack at best from what I've seen. The principal is amazing, truly involved, addresses issues as they arise promptly and provides feedback. It's worth the investment to have your child here if you can afford it.

My son is almost through his second year at VCCS, and I have no regrets about my decision to send him here. He had a mild learning issue that we discovered in pre-school, so he was a little behind when he started kindergarten. The small class size has been perfect for him, as I feared he would get lost in the shuffle in a bigger school. He was reading by Christmas of his kindergarten year, and I definitely no longer consider him behind. He loves this school, and I feel safe having him there. The staff is very friendly and accessible. My son loves his teachers and he is still excited to go every day. The older students look out for the younger ones and consider them friends. The senior class buddy program with the elementary students is a real benefit as well. 2 years=2 great kids have been my sons buddy. Please come give the school a look. Don't let the size fool you, it really is a place you can feel good about trusting with your child and his/her future.
