Our youngest son attends Calvary. Our oldest children went through the public school system and it's amazing how much more rigorous Calvary is than the public schools in our area. Everyone has been so welcoming and our son is receiving the best education. We love hearing our son singing worship songs and telling us about the Bible lessons he's learned. Not only is he academically challenged but is learning to grow in his love for Jesus. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough great things about this school! The academics are top notch and the teachers truly care about the students. I love how the Bible is incorporated throughout all subjects. I feel that my kids will be very prepared for college and for life. There are many extra curricular activities available, as well as leadership opportunities. Don't hesitate to send your kids here!

Secondary principle does not seem to handle issues on that campus
Posted: December 31, 2016
All the teachers on the Jr high campus seem to be very accessible and willing to work with your child.

They use ren-web on secondary campus and it works great!

The elementary side of the school was great! The principle to the teachers to the front office staff. It is a different story on the Jr. High/High School campus. The principal on the secondary campus has a perfect platform to help form young boys to hopefully Christian young men, but that is not what happens. There has been a kid that has harassed and close to stalking my child daily and it isn't addressed at all. The teachers have also had many complaints from other students and problems with this kid and nothing is done. Thats my issue with the secondary campus.

Mr. Tiet: Physics, Chemistry, A/P Bio, Marine Biology, and A/P Psychology. I feel confidant with any class you are teaching. My daughter who is strong in English is choosing to take your A/P Psychology as well as Physics her senior year. She has passed out of 2 out of the 2 college AP exams and has a strong chance to pass out of 2 more before graduation. This will be a financial blessing as well as the blessing of knowledge of a Godly World View and a Godly mentor.

Calvary Murrieta Christian is a great school. The teachers are loving and make a great effort to individualize time and attention to each student. Calvary keeps the class sizes small, as to allow more time with each child. The Principal Mrs. Sharpe takes time to get to know all of the students by name. She is a wonderful, god loving woman and excellent leader. It amazes me how all of the staff and teachers know all the kids by name. Jesus and the Bible are the platform and the curriculum is built around his word. Our daughter has learned so much this first year, reading well into a first grade level by the middle of kindergarten. The kids and parents in my daughters class have all gotten to know each other, a lot of friendships have grown out of this year. Our family is looking forward to the new school year, and new growth, friends and experiences.

My son has attended this school for two years now and has enjoyed every aspect of his education there. As in all things you have to take into account that this Is a Christian school and therefore those values will be the foundation of all teaching. This is exactly what our family wanted and we've been very blessed with our decision. One caveat is that my son would probably do well academically anywhere, at this point in his growth we are concerned with experiences he would be facing in public school with impacted classrooms and other social concerns. While we do not shelter our child from everything I am a teacher and school counselor in the community and have seen enough first hand to know CMCS is the best choice for our on and family. The families and staff have been warm and welcoming.

Please be warned that all of the negative reviews you read on this post are true. I am actually surprised that this school is still open. They blame their drastic drop in enrollment to the economy, but it is actually due to the way they treat their teachers, and the children and parents who are not part of the "in" crowd. It was the worst school experience of my children's school careers! I have been a Christian since I was ten years old and never experienced more ungodly behavior in my life! The dishonesty, backbiting, gossip, and nepotism from the staff as well as the parents was evil! Please do not subject your children to this horrible environment!

Calvary is wonderful! The teachers and administrators are incredible servants who always go above and beyond the call of duty. We are blessed to have our kids in a school that is outstanding both academically and spiritually.

We've attended CCCS for 12 years. My oldest is a senior at a private university now and has a 4.0 GPA. He took several AP classes at Calvary and was completely prepared for college. He applied to 14 colleges and was accepted at 13. He will be going to medical school next year with 2 other CCCS graduates. My middle son got into trouble at one point and was dealt a very harsh punishment by the administration. He returned to CCCS the next year to find that the administrators were very negative and unforgiving towards him. I witnessed this at one point and was appalled. I hoped it was limited to one staff member but it was not. He felt penalized emotionally and psychologically by the administration/staff and it was so severe that we ended up taking him out of CCCS the next year. Although I believe the academics and extra-cirricular activites are on par with public school and I believe that the environment is safer than a public school; we don't plan to send our youngest to CCCS once he reaches junior high because we are so disappointed in the administration on the upper level campus.
