Our son was quite transformed at this school. He had a reported 10 percent attention span in 2nd grade in a big classroom setting. Within month he was thriving. Both academically, emotionally, mentally and socially, and continues doing so today. Thanks to the calm and caring learning environment, low student teacher ratio, and the application of the hands on Montessori method. There is something special this school has, that lends comfort and safety and inspiration to those lives it touches. Children get to learn at their own pace, with loving guidance of qualified teachers applying the Maria Montessori Method.

I highly recommend this school. We have three children - our oldest is 13 and he was enrolled from pre-K through 2nd grade and our 4 year old twins currently attend this school.
When I enrolled our oldest son the school director told me that quality early education is a crucial foundation for kids, since it is easier to correct and motivate them when they are still young. Results speak for themselves: my oldest kid has learned to be responsible, organized and kind and he is doing great in middle school.
Teachers are very, very patient and flexible. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed. School building is always clean and above all, my kids are happy.

The teachers spend a lot of one on one time with the children helping them learn reading and math. Very impressed with the education my daughter has received the past two years.

The teachers are amazingly dedicated, patient and caring. Very low student-to-teacher ratio so the kids get a great amount of individualized help and attention. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance of the older building - they keep it up immaculately and it is always neat, clean, organized and a great environment for the kids. Where else will you see a place where they rake the playground sand daily? :) My daughter has really blossomed since starting preschool here, and it is truly worth the long round trip to get her there (there are sadly no Montessory schools in Oxnard or Port Hueneme!). The school offers some Spanish instruction as part of the curriculum, and they also have dance, music, and gymnastics as add-on extracurriculars. They have before- and after- school care either full time or as-needed. Since it is so small (less than 100 students) there is no full-time office staff (the director also teaches), so be patient if trying to get ahold of them for applications, questions, tours, etc. Parent involvement here is also amazing. We did a LOT of research before settling on this school and we are so happy with it so far!

Hands down, this has been the most enriching experience both my children have had for the last 6 years. The teachers are truly amazing with all of their children. I cannot recommend them enough!!!

my daughter goes to this school and she has made a 360 complete change in attitude. lost the terrible 2s within 2-3 months. we love this school and the teachers are sooooo patient and loving, the best!

This is an amazing school with incredibly dedicated teachers. My daughter loves to go to school and looks forward to learning. We can't believe how quickly she has learned and she's only 2!. Both our sons attended this school as well and they are doing so well in middle school thanks to the Montessori foundation that was set. We drive 26 miles each way to get our daughter to school every day, but it's worth it!!
