Our daughter just completed Kindergarten at Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School, and our family had an outstanding first year. From the moment we joined the school, we felt welcomed into a warm and supportive community.

What impressed us most was the genuine care shown by the teachers and staff. They focus on nurturing the whole child—not just academically, but also in character, confidence, and personal growth. Our daughter's teacher was patient, encouraging, and attentive, making her feel valued every day.

The school has a strong sense of community, and it's clear that families, teachers, and administrators work together to support each student. Our daughter finished the year excited to learn and eager to start 1st grade. Our experience was so positive that we recommended Saint Jeanne to family in the area, and our nephew will be joining the school next year. We highly recommend it to families looking for a caring school with a strong academic foundation.

My son loves the environment from this school. He loves how the students all help each other, everyone is kind and they all pray together. He loves the challenge that the teachers provide in order for him to be better. He works hard and he feels safe at the school. He also enjoys how even in the cafeteria the staff are kind to everyone. My son has mentioned that Saint Jeanne's has a peaceful environment and he looks forward to going to school. The teachers are approachable and my son doesn't hesitate to ask questions if he needs help with an assignment.

The sense of community is incredible, and I have peace of mind knowing they’re surrounded by people who genuinely want them to succeed. They create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to do their best, both inside and outside the classroom. The school has a close-knit community that makes it easy to build friendships and feel like you belong. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved through clubs, sports, leadership, and service projects, helping students discover their interests and develop valuable life skills. We have been with St Jeanne's since TK. Our girl is not entering 7th grade this year. This is by far the best private school in the area. She has received a top-notch education and will continue it to the high school level. The teachers and staff are friendly and supportive of each and every student. Our girl has made lifelong friends and feels good about her teachers and classes. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants the best for their children.

St. Jeanne de Lestonnac is more than a school for our family; it is our second home. The administration and staff are fully committed to the wellbeing of the whole child; their academics, spirituality, and overall health. Also, the school community is welcoming and kind. Our children have attended other schools in the past and we can say with confidence that St. Jeanne de Lestonnac works with all its heart to nurture future citizens that are well prepared in their future profession but also care for their community.

his school is better than any others in the area because of the individualized attention to learning and small class sizes. Also, the faith formation is amazing and has really helped me grow. Most of the people are genuinely there to learn and have a passion and motivation. Kids in all the grades are relatively really well behaved and in the high school things are always clean. There are also plenty of events always going on and as a high school that is 8 or 9 years old, the sports are also very good, especially if you're a beginner that wouldn't be accepted into a team in another school. All the staff including athletics staff WANT you to succeed and do everything they can to help.
I did cross country soccer and swim and as a beginner I got so much support and made me excited for next season. It was also super fun!
If you want to start a club or program, this school will help you implement it. Lots of bright minds go to school here, and I'm glad to be accepted into this community. Just remember the experience is what you make of it. If you choose to use the unique opportunities you are given here, and you will succeed.

Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac has been such a blessing for our family. We have three children who attend the school, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience we’ve had. From the moment we became part of the community, we felt welcomed and supported. It truly feels like a family, and that sense of connection is one of the things we value most.

The school has helped our children grow not only academically, but also in their character, faith, confidence, and relationships with others. They have made wonderful friendships and have had so many positive experiences that they will carry with them for years to come.

We are especially grateful for the many opportunities the school provides, including the variety of sports programs. Our kids have been able to participate in athletics they enjoy, while learning teamwork, dedication, and perseverance.

We feel very fortunate to be part of the Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac community. It has been a place where our children feel known, cared for, and encouraged to become the best versions of themselves. We are truly grateful for all the teachers, staff, and families who make this school such a special place.

We are so thankful to be part of this incredible school community. The teachers and staff truly care about each student and create a welcoming atmosphere where children feel encouraged to learn and thrive. We are especially excited that our 5-year-old will be starting kindergarten this August, and we can't wait for him to experience everything this amazing school has to offer. This school does MUST be a money laundering scheme, for that’s all they care about. I came to this school going into eighth grade with straight A’s in honors english and math, they held me back in seventh claiming that “they don’t take new eighth graders because it requires knowledge on the values of the school.” When I finally moved up to eighth grade there were two new students. This school hasn’t taught anything to me that I didn’t previously know, every second I’m in this building I feel dumber. If you care for you child in the slightest DON’T SEND THEM HERE, they only care about money, not a proper education.

During my time at this i have garnered 38 conduct points in one trimester been banned from social events field trips and for the fee of 1500 dollars a month in the fifth grade I had one email sent home, at Saint Jeannes I've had over 50 in one year. Students often push me around and I get in trouble for it. Teachers are nice to other students whilst I'm often degraded, and its because and i quote in the words of faculty here " Other students fix their mistakes while you persist" This is a non factual statement i have received conduct points for actions of students around me. I have been sworn at targeted by students, and teachers insulted by teachers which in all honesty I don't really mind what I do mind is that it comes with a price tag. Teachers also often talk about me behind my back. I have been put in electives I didn't choose. My time at saint Jeannes has been memorable for the wrong reasons. All in all if you want un happy students that don't enjoy learning or even have a soul you should send your kids to SJ. I forgot to say this part but the school also doesn't have any accelerated classes besides math. When transferring to SJ I was going to be placed inn 9th grade English now I'm barely passing the equivalent of a remedial class. This school sucks I hate it, and everything it stands for with every fiber in my being.

This school isn't all it's cracked up to be. I thought my child was getting a higher education only to later find out that my child's math and writing skills were not up to grade level. At first everyone seemed warm and welcoming, but that faded quickly. All this school cares about is MONEY! You have to fundraise and donate 24/7. If you don't, you quickly see how their demeanor changes towards your child. Also, if other students are bullying your child, they won't do a thing about it. Do yourself a favor and find another school. We had high hopes with this school and we're really let down.

Joining the Saint Jeanne family has been one of the greatest blessings in our lives. My son started in 1st grade 15 years ago—he’s now a junior at MIT. Our daughter is heading to Harvard this fall, and our youngest is a senior and a true servant leader, ready to thrive in college. It sounds like a fairy tale, but it’s real. Saint Jeanne provided a whole-child education rooted in faith, strong academics, and a true partnership with parents. Sports were also a big part of our journey—my kids played football, basketball, volleyball, softball, track, and cheer. The high school offers dual enrollment, life enrichment classes, and excellent college counseling. Saint Jeanne nurtures the heart, mind, and soul. It’s more than a school—it’s a family.

The community is warm, welcoming, and truly puts the children first. Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic High School in Temecula, CA, is truly an exceptional institution that blends academic excellence with a nurturing, faith-based environment. As a parent, I’ve been continually impressed by the dedication of the faculty and staff, who go above and beyond to foster both intellectual and spiritual growth in their students. The school’s commitment to the mission of the Sisters of the Company of Mary is evident in every aspect of campus life, creating a Christ-centered community that inspires students to become compassionate, responsible leaders.

The academic program is rigorous yet supportive, with a wide range of Advanced Placement (AP) courses, language options, and STEM opportunities that challenge students to reach their full potential. My child has thrived in the small class sizes, which allow for personalized attention from teachers who are not only highly qualified but also genuinely invested in their students’ success. The high school placement test results consistently reflect the school’s academic strength, and the college preparatory focus has opened doors to top universities for graduates.

Beyond academics, Saint Jeanne’s offers a vibrant array of extracurricular activities. From competitive CIF sports like basketball, volleyball, and track to innovative clubs like FFA, robotics, and debate, there’s something for every student to explore their passions. The fine arts program, including theater and music, is equally impressive, fostering creativity and self-expression. The sense of community is palpable—students form tight-knit bonds, and events like the Old Town Temecula Christmas Parade showcase their pride and involvement.

What sets Saint Jeanne’s apart is its holistic approach to education. The school instills values of respect, faith, and service, encouraging students to grow into global citizens with a heart for others. The campus, nestled in Temecula’s beautiful wine country, provides a serene and inspiring backdrop for learning. The administration, led by dedicated professionals like Sister Ernestine, ensures a welcoming and inclusive environment for students of all backgrounds.

As a family, we’ve felt embraced by the Saint Jeanne’s community for years, and it’s been a privilege to watch our child flourish in such a loving and dynamic environment. This school is a gem in the Temecula Valley, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any family seeking an outstanding Catholic education.

After the upheaval brought on by COVID, our family found ourselves reevaluating what kind of educational environment we wanted for our children. That search led us to SJDLS, and it has proven to be one of the best decisions we’ve made for our kids.

Not only is the quality of education outstanding—with strong academics and dedicated teachers—but what truly sets SJDLS apart is the moral and emotional support they offer. It’s a place where children are encouraged to grow in confidence, character, and compassion. The school provides a genuinely nurturing environment that reinforces the values we hold at home.

SJDLS has given our children a solid foundation—not just intellectually, but spiritually and emotionally as well. It’s the kind of place where you feel your kids are known, supported, and loved. For our family, it has absolutely been worth every penny.

As parents who moved to Temecula from Orange County four years ago, we thought we knew what a great Catholic school looked like. Our children attended a highly-regarded institution in OC, and we were very happy with it. However, since enrolling our kids at Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School (SJDLS), our perspective has completely shifted. SJDLS is, in almost every conceivable way, superior.

From the moment you step onto the campus, you feel the profound dedication to their mission: "At Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School, we are united by a shared mission--a calling to educate the whole child by nurturing academic excellence, spiritual formation, leadership, and the development of each student's God-given talents." This isn't just a slogan; it's the living, breathing ethos of the school.

The academic rigor is exceptional, pushing our children to achieve their best while fostering a genuine love for learning. Beyond the classroom, the spiritual formation is deeply integrated into daily life, helping our kids grow in faith and character. We've seen remarkable development in their leadership skills and a clear encouragement to explore and cultivate their unique, God-given talents.

The Sisters of the Company of Mary Our Lady, along with an incredibly dedicated staff, work tirelessly to create a faith-filled environment where every student is truly known, loved, and encouraged to grow into the person God created them to be. This personalized attention and genuine care are what truly set SJDLS apart. Our children feel seen, heard, and valued, which has made all the difference in their educational journey.

While we do wish there was an attached parish, we understand and appreciate that SJDLS serves as a beacon for all the parishes in the surrounding area, uniting families from various communities under its incredible mission.

If you are looking for a school that prioritizes holistic development, academic excellence, and a nurturing, faith-filled community, look no further than Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac School. It has been an absolute blessing for our family, and we couldn't recommend it more highly!

I have had my son enrolled in their Little Vineyard (preschool program) for two years now. Where to start?! I personally love that they have uniforms and provided snack and lunch, it makes the morning routine so much smoother. I also like that there are many options in enrollment, T/Th, M/W/F, and M-F, with further option of half days or full days. When looking around for preschools, I wanted a place that would be fun for my son but also educational and that's exactly what we've experienced. I'm amazed by how much he's learned (knows all upper and lower case letters, all shapes, all colors, 21 sight words, common Catholic prayers, how count to 100, etc.) And, the cherry on top is that it's promoted my son's spiritual formation as well.

I truly believe it takes a village to raise a child and I have been so blessed to have the teachers, sisters, and all other staff at Saint Jeanne's (groundskeeper - beautiful grounds, greeters - warm, personalized welcome each morning, the list goes on and on!) as a part of my village. I feel that they truly care about the well being of my child, which is something I think would be difficult to find elsewhere.

We just completed Kindergarten, and it was a very enriching experience for our child. He absolutely loves his teacher and is very proud of his school.
He made an immense progress in reading and writing and math. It's so nice to see that the children use pen and paper to learn, this is proven to be the most efficient and effective method for learning. We hope to see this continue further, at least through elementary school.
The teachers are strict and demanding, there is homework, which teaches children that they have responsibilities.
The school is focused on learning (which is what we wanted), not on other topics.
The children have wonderful music lessons, have classroom presentations in front of parents, participate to Christmas and Easter shows, do hands-on gardening, learn languages, do art, overall, a very beautiful and very demanding curriculum.
We loved our year at St. Jeanne's and will continue for the future. We strongly recommend the school.

We just completed our first year at St Jeanne and we are very happy with our experience! Previously, we homeschooled due to a lack of great school options. We are so happy that we found St Jeanne. The teachers seem to genuinely care about our child and not just academics. St Jeanne is about the whole child while still challenging them academically. There are plenty of activities for parents to get involved in if they desire. Overall, we are thankful we found somewhere for our child to thrive.

Our daughter has attended both Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten (TK) at St. Jeanne de Lestonnac School in Temecula, and it has truly been a blessing for our family. As she heads into Kindergarten, we couldn’t be more pleased with her experience. She's grown socially, academically, and spiritually in ways that far exceeded expectations. Her TK curriculum has been as rigorous as what many public school Kindergarteners experience. At just five years old, she’s already reading books—and more importantly, she’s excited about it! The staff are also exceptional. The teachers are skilled, attentive, caring, and compassionate. They communicate regularly with parents and create a nurturing environment that supports her development. There are also plenty of opportunities for families to connect and for students to build friendships outside the classroom. If you're looking for a school that combines strong academics with a faith-based, supportive community, we recommend St. Jeanne's.

I’m glad I pulled my kids out of this school (St. Jeanne). Before enrolling, I was told that St. Jeanne was different from other private schools—better, more Catholic, and more committed to strong values. But once we started, I realized that the main thing they care about is money.

Yes, the school has a safe campus and a nice community. But many parents seem to have too much control over the school. It feels like the administration allows wealthy parents or big donors to influence decisions, even how the teachers should teach. That’s not right.

My kids also felt that some teachers, especially the PRESIDENT (a religious sister) of the school, favor students whose families can offer money or benefits to the school. I heard similar stories from other parents and students. Some even said they left the school because of the way she treated others—the students, including some of her own teachers. While she is praised for building the high school department, many parents believe her leadership is not truly Christian in how she treats people. Again, “she does not practice true Christian values in the way she treats students she doesn’t like, including some of the teachers.”

The school claims to be the best Catholic school in Riverside, but that is not true. According to some high school students, many do not take their religion/theology classes—or even other subjects—seriously. Some teachers allow students to use their phones during class and don’t seem to care. There is little to no discipline in the high school. The environment does not help students grow in their faith or character. Students often do whatever they want.

I would not recommend this school. It gave my family a false impression and did not help my children grow spiritually or academically.

Saint Jeanne's has been like a second home for us and our children. We are currently in our 4th year of school here, with 3 kids (K, 1st, and 3rd). We have had nothing but wonderful experiences. Pre-K and TK were incredible, all the teachers and staff have been amazing and our kids academic levels are 1-2 years ahead of public school. We love that this school focuses a lot on the Marian feast days and incorporates the Catholic faith into their curriculum and activities. The only thing we have been unhappy about is that there are not many priests around. That would be a nice presence to have. It would also be lovely to have a parish connected to the school. Otherwise, we are very happy here!

I had two kids at this school for 3 years. Then one day found out their level of knowledge are below the supposed standard knowledge compared to public school requirements. It’s very sad for a Catholic school to fall behind in every aspects compared to public school.

The Catholic schools nowadays are all about tuitions and fees, not much about educating the future leaders of Catholic community. It is quite sad as I am Catholic but have no choice to pull them out. It’s expensive without the bangs for your bucks.

Saint Jeanne De Lestonnac is a very great and beautiful school. There is a lot of homework, but it really pushes students to try their best. The teachers are strict and friendly with the students. My daughter really likes this school so far and everyone is extremely welcoming to the new students. I'm really glad that I found this school for my daughter.

Fantastic! So happy to be a parent at the only Catholic school in the Temecula Valley. We love the cirriculum, the teachers, the safety of the campus, and feel as if our daughter will be prepared for all of the academic endeavors of the future. Proud to raise a fourth generation Catholic school student!

The homework requirement is aggressive and demanding, however it has pushed my son with a desire to want to achieve excellent grades.

Its a God Centered education. They teach a high lever of integrity and all the students are respectful and incredibly kind.

My son was being bullied at Public School and Saint Jeanne is a God Centered high academic school that nurtures faith, higher learning and a very strict "Non-violence", No Bullying or unkind behavior. My son loves this school and is excelling and has become a straight A student.

I have 3 children attending St Jeanne twin boys entering Kindergarten and a daughter entering 4th grade. As such I have a 6 year history with the school.(pre school, pre k, 1,2,and 3rd grades) I agree with many of the review comments - it offers challenging academics, great student teacher ratios, qualified, engaging and supportive teachers and parents, a great value system and a great campus,. I appreciate all they have done for our children.

We love St.Jeannes's! It has been an amazing school to be at from its educational standards,it's caring staff, family centered values, and it's beautiful ,spectacularly well maintained campus. As a single mother,I feel this is the best place for my son.He is surrounded by not only a staff that cares ,but great, GREAT parents that care about their own children and the community around them. Do we have challenges at the school? Yes of course ! I'm sure every school does have its glitches. Most are handled quickly and effectively with love. In a perfect world ,If I could alter one thing about the school it would be to reconsider the homework load.We get a great deal of homework, which can become quite overwhelming for us. St Jeanne's truly has been a blessing in our lives.

We are entering our third year at St. Jeanne's and we couldn't be happier. My daughters enjoy going to school each day and I have enjoyed becoming involved with the Home and School board. My girls are receiving a high quality academic and religious education at St. Jeanne de Lestonnac. I would highly recommend this school!

My child attended this school for one year. We were drawn to the beautiful campus, the religious and academic standards we were striving for our child. Within a few months were were receiving feedback from our child of boredom, and the classes moved at a slow pace . Teachers gave just repeated "busy" work below grade level to fill time for him. After many conferences with teachers and principle we were decided SJDL was not a good fit for our child. From the beginning we did not have a good experience at SJDL, the staff was not friendly towards our family when we told them we were leaving at the end of the school year. We judged a book by its cover e.g. beautiful campus, but received the true contents.

As last year s Home and School President, I would like to address some of the previous comments. SJDLS offers a laptop program for the children (MAC) as well as a MAC lab and a PC lab. Children in grades K-8 are offered computer class as part of the core curriculum. My daughter, a freshman @ Great Oak High School (as well as 5 of her peers), has been accepted to the IB Program as well as CSF due to the excellent overall experience at SJDLS. The goal of fundraising at our school is to not only bridge the gap between what tuition covers and what does not, but also give back to our worldwide community. We have had food drives, worked at soup kitchens, raised money for Michelle s Place and donated thousands of dollars to the neediest of students at our sister school in Mobokoli, Africa. Our tuition rates are among the lowest in the area and have not increased in over 3 years due to the generosity of our parents and community at large. Some children at our school receive discounted tuition, on a per needed basis, due to this community outreach. I am blessed to note that we have enrolled almost 70 new children this Fall!

I have had older children at public schools and have my younger children at this school for many reasons. While for the most part the education is the same as area public or private schools, the knowledge that they are in a good enviornment trumps everything else that may be lacking. If you are not happy at this school - you should definately try others - you will find that you are most likely not happy there as well. The Sisters of the Company of Mary have proven that they care about the children's education. They try to keep children interested by bringing in extra curricular / after school classes. Fundraising goes hand in hand with having your children in a private school. Public schools are certainly feeling the pinch of the times and if I need to fundraise to keep the quality up for my children - I am happy to do so.

This school is exactly what I was looking for for my child. The teachers are dedicated. Many of the teachers have their own chiildren at this school. The curriculm is very strong and the administration continues to stay abreast of the newest technologies and curriculm. The homework load is preparing the kids for high school. In regards to fundraising. Most parents know that private schools depend on fundraising money. This school in particular has the lowest tuition in the area because the administration truly wants to help out their families. Thanks to past fundraising - lpads and macs have been added this year. Parents that need help financially can always talk to the administration and their fundraising obligations can be waived if need be. No child is excluded on purpose and certainly not punished.

Lovely campus and very strong in academics. A lot of homework but it really pushes the kids to their fullest potential. Strict yet loving teachers and friendly atmosphere. Unfortunately there is not after school lessons such as music or art and for a private school I did expect to have that as an option. There is not a laptop program so they are still lacking in exposure to the latest forms of learning and communication via the computer. The fundraising is excessive. If your child does not sell enough of their monthly fundraiser then they are instructed to wear their uniform on a given day and not allowed to wear their everyday fun clothes as form of punishment. So your child will be ostracized for not meeting fundraising goals. Global or community awareness/ charity is not emphasized.
