Were new to Rancho Christian, but our experience so far has been excellent. The enrollment process has been smooth, organized, and welcoming from start to finish. Every staff member weve interacted with has been kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful, making what can often be a stressful process feel easy.
Were grateful for the warm welcome and are excited for our family to be part of the Rancho Christian community. Based on our experience so far, we highly recommend Rancho Christian to anyone considering the school.

My experience with this school has been very positive. One of the strongest aspects is the admissions teamthey are incredibly supportive, responsive, and welcoming. From the beginning, they took the time to answer questions, explain the process clearly, and make our family feel valued and informed. Communication was consistent, and they genuinely showed care for both students and parents.
The school creates a warm and inclusive environment where families are encouraged to be involved and feel like true partners in their childs education. Overall, the dedication of the staff, especially the admissions team, makes this school a great place for students to grow and succeed.

As members of the church community at Rancho Church, our family was excited for our daughter to begin at Rancho Christian School for this academic school year in fifth grade. Shes having a wonderful experience and loves school. The teachers and staff provide a comprehensive program that effectively addresses core subject academics, faith-based learning, music, art, and access to additional electives as well. Our principal, Mrs. Wilson, and assistant principal, Mr. Porter, do an incredible job modeling leadership and support for their students and staff. This school is a very special place in which students feel safe and encouraged. We love Rancho!

Rancho Christian Preschool has been a complete an answer to prayers! While in the midst of our move to the area, finding the right school for our kids was a major priority. When we found RCP, they were incredible from the very first warm welcome phone call, to the intentional time spent answering questions, to placing our 3 year old in the right class. Making a move is hard in any circumstance, but RCP staff has truly brought the grace of God to their school by supporting the wellbeing of each child and their family. Our son is so excited for school, that he hardly says goodbye to us at drop off! We could not be more grateful to be a part of this community.

My child attended Rancho Preschool, and we were so impressed with the warm school culture and the caring teachers and administrators that we chose to return.
Admissions Team: The admissions team is fantastic! They host open houses throughout the year, and they are friendly and approachable, always ready to answer any questions you might have.
Elementary School Experience: We've heard from friends with children currently enrolled in the elementary school that the teachers are well-prepared and delightful, making it a joy for kids to attend.
Safe Environment: Based on our experience, I can confidently say that Rancho offers a safe environment where any instances of bullying or inappropriate behavior are handled appropriately.
Family Involvement: Lastly, I truly appreciate the level of family involvement. Parents/families are encouraged to participate in different events throughout the year.

We will be attending there in the fall, so I cant speak of my experience from a learning/school perspective. However, the staff, faculty, coaches and various people Ive met have all been incredibly helpful and accommodating. We toured three local schools and Rancho knocked it out of the park, far surpassing the other schools. They found out what interested my son from the get go, made sure to introduce him to the appropriate coaches, answered all of my questions, and went above and beyond in every way possible. We are thrilled to be starting middle school there in the fall!

I would never in my life even dare to recommend this school to anyone. I had come to Rancho in 7th grade, it was not too bad compared to my more recent years. In 7th grade I vividly remember certain teachers who would openly favor the boys in class and allow them to do as they please unlike the girls who were held to a much higher standard. Starting Highschool was terrible. Little to none of the teachers are helpful and they are very open about disliking their job as if they didnt sign up for this and they see forced to be there. Many of the teachers finish students when students bring attention to the fact that they are confused or need more help. I once asked a teacher What can i study that would most help me on this test? She laughed and said in a snarky tone probably nothing. This was obviously extremely unhelpful but this isnt just one teacher acting like this. Its the majority. The teachers here are rude, un christlike, and UNPROFESSIONAL. If a standard is held so high for the students to be in complete dress code - polos, jeans, slacks, etc, why are teachers allowed to show up in sweats and leggings? This makes no sense, the teachers here are slobs. Rancho essentially hires anyone that applies even if they may not reach the criteria. Many of my teachers ive had in the last 4 years seemed like they had came into this not knowing that they were teachers, and they were complete clueless, leaving the students to learn on their own without the help they are paying for. This school is GREEDY. Rancho is money hungry and thats all they care about. They dont care about hiring Christlike characters, they dont care about leading a christian lifestyle, they only care about how much money they can take from you. Although they are making so much money WHERE IS IT GOING? There is NO cafeteria, half the time the bathroom stalls are broken, the sinks dont work, there is no clean water fountains indoors, what are they putting all this money towards? To go along with this, Rancho would ask certain sports teams to do fundraisers, which seems normal at first, but when the coaches to these sports teams began to ask Where is this money going? Rancho had NO response. Odd, you would think they make enough money from the 15 thousand dollar tuition, and the overpriced lunches that most students couldnt afford, and they would have to skip lunch because they truthfully had absolutely no money left. This school is money hungry, greedy, misleading, & unkind.

We couldnt be happier with Rancho Christian Preschool! From the moment we walked in, we felt an overwhelming sense of warmth, care, and dedication from the staff. Its clear that this isnt just a preschoolits a loving, nurturing community that prioritizes both academic and character development.
Our daughter has absolutely thrived here! The teachers are incredibly patient, kind, and attentive, making sure every child feels valued and supported. They provide the perfect balance of structured learning and play-based activities, which has helped our daughter grow in confidence, independence, and social skills. Every day, she comes home excited to tell us about her new friends, fun projects, and the engaging lessons shes learned.
The curriculum at Rancho Christian is outstanding. It integrates academics with creativity, hands-on learning, and a strong foundation in Christian values. We love that our daughter is not only learning early literacy and math skills but is also developing a kind heart and a love for learning. The school also does a fantastic job keeping parents involved through regular updates, photos, and communication, which gives us peace of mind.
Another huge plus is how much effort the staff puts into maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. We always feel confident that our daughter is in the best hands.
We are beyond grateful for Rancho Christian Preschool and highly recommend it to any family looking for a loving, enriching, and faith-based early education experience. It has truly been a blessing for our family!

Speaking on the High School side of things, Ive been especially impressed by the teachers who have truly taken the time to listen and offer support where needed. Their approach to understanding individual needs and fostering a nurturing environment has been remarkable. These teachers are a true asset to the school, and Im grateful for their patience, encouragement, and commitment. One of the standout aspects has been the realistic curriculum. Its clear that the school strives to create a balanced learning environment where students are given the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. The way the teachers actually teach has been invaluable. Its not just about memorizing information, but truly understanding the material and engaging with it. I appreciate that the teachers focus on helping the students learn in the classroom as compared to the ones that barely teach and expect them to learn on their own by assigning an overwhelming amount of homework. I can truly say that the workload at Rancho has been manageable, and I can see that my sons understanding of the material has improved (compared to public school) as a direct result of Rancho's teaching methods. They do not pile on homework just for the sake of homework. This thoughtful approach to teaching has made a real difference in my sons learning experience. The teachers are HUMAN and if you've ever dealt with public schools, you know exactly what I mean by that. The teachers at Rancho don't treat the kids like another number. I also want to express my appreciation for the dress code at the school. It sets realistic expectations for real-life situations. That said, I do wish the school would consider allowing for appropriate sweatpants and joggers. These options could offer students more comfort, while still adhering to the standard of dressing appropriately for the school environment by simply applying reasonable rules to wearing them such as: fit and style must be tailored (not baggy, but not tight), color and design (neutral colors only), no holes/rips, etc. After all, at the end of the day, they are still just kids, and since they spend the majority of their time at school, why not allow them a bit more comfort during their busy day? Overall, Rancho Christian is 5 stars in my book. Im grateful for the genuine care and respect the teachers and staff show.

My kids have been attending Rancho Christian for a few years and have experienced elementary, middle and high school. There is no such thing as the perfect school, and there are many pros and cons to private vs. public. I think in this area if that's the choice, I would choose private school 100%. I have heard so many stories of vaping, bullying, drugs, sex, corrupt teachers, bad words, you name it from the public schools in this area. Rancho keeps the kids very safe, enforces no vaping, has chapel where they talk about good morals and how loved they are by God, and have done their best to fix problems like gossiping, etc. that arise. The counselors work with the kids to try and earn them scholarships for college and get them college credits even before they graduate. There is a lot of turn-over with teachers which is a bummer; however, there are many teachers that have been there a while and are very good. We considered Linfield, but when we visited there were cigarette butts in the bathrooms among other things we didn't like. Rancho has updated their gym, has brand new work out equipment, building a brand-new building on the elementary side and set up fun areas like beach v-ball courts, basketball courts and a game room with foosball tables, etc. Going to school at Rancho is like living in a small town where everybody knows everybody. Rancho is not perfect, but for this area I feel it is the best choice for my kids' present and future.

Going to Rancho was an experience to say the least. Over in elementary the principal was constantly changing every year and teachers that had started one year would be gone the next. High school just got worse. One year my class had three different history teachers and each taught in such different ways and would the changes would happen in the middle of semesters. I also had teachers that would yell at the students while class was going on. If the school couldnt get anybody actually qualified to teach a class, they would just throw some one random in. The students arent any better. Every where you look there would be people turning against each other, people who act like besties when they are together but would then trash talk, laugh at, and call slurs when backs are turned. Not only that but it would be said while teachers would be around, the ones who would say you can come to them if anything was wrong, and nothing would be done about it. I remember one year there was one student who actively targeted another and when the issue was brought up to the principal, only an apology was required, and yet someone who posted it on social media got suspended because it didnt hold to the schools values. The school does not care about its students, unless its basketball or football. They will pull out all the stops for these teams but when it comes to other sports, they cant even make sure the teams have the proper equipment let alone a coach. Then of course students have to pay thousands of dollars to attend but they cant even put it towards anything useful like oh I dont know, proper equipment for sports, better teachers, tools to help students learn, the needed materials for certain classes, bathroom stalls that arent broken, sinks that dont shoot water out all funky, food thats actually good, and anything other then want they actually do, nothing. They never promote anything that is happening in the school, no clubs, no events, nothing unless you are apart of ASB and then you have to do it yourself. You would be lucky to pass a poster of something important. The school is bad, and its not even a matter of their new progressive religious teachings, its just a horrible school.

We moved to the area during the pandemic and were looking for a Christian school that was meeting in person. Rancho Christian was very welcoming to us and did whatever they could to help us. When our teenagers were accepted, they were nervous about starting school in the middle of the year. However, the students were welcoming and they made friends easily. The teachers worked with us to make sure our kids got on track quickly. Although the school is smaller than public schools, they do a great job at creating an environment that has much to offer. They kept the kids feeling mostly normal during COVID. Teachers are caring about every student and get to know them, so that nobody falls through the cracks. I was concerned reading some of the past reviews about the school, but have not found any of those things to be true. Rancho is a Christ-centered, wonderful place where our kids have thrived and found community. We are so grateful.

We are a new family coming from an excellent private school in San Marcos , Ca. We relocated in the Escondido/Valley Center area and couldn't be happier with Rancho for our daughter. The school offers a great blend of Christian values, academics, sports and other activities. I believe the school is the perfect size to offer diversity, activities and a true school spirit and culture. The President and the Vice Principal are on top and respond any communication in a timely manner. The campus is gorgeous and there are many opportunities to make friends and have a great school experience. #WeareRancho

Our son graduated from RC in 2021 after attending since 7th grade. Originally, we loved the school but we began to see that the school President, Pastor Scott Treadway, doesn't follow the word of God at all. This became much more obvious in 2019-2020. When he gave a sermon at RC Church after the Jan. 2021 U.S. Capital march blaming Christians for it, several on the Worship Team quit & numerous families left the church/school. The school teaches CRT, accepts open homosexuality amongst its students and staff. School Administration refuses to meet in an open forum with parents and instead Scott Treadway will only meet with one student's parents at a time. The problem is that he contradicts what he tells different sets of parents.
The school hired a new FB coach, who has never been a head FB coach and MANY question his integrity after numerous incidents. The sports program is ranked high but that's because of the Basket Ball team. Most of its premiere players have graduated, several are at D1 Colleges and one even in the NBA but after they left, the team has not done nearly as well. The school has had a host of Principals at both the HS and Elementary school level and they don't stay for more than 2-3 years. Many of the really good teachers have left and are at Linfield Christian.
Since Covid, the school has attracted many families who say they believe in God, but don't appear to have a personal relationship with Him based on their acceptance of the school/church' liberal ideology and their comments on FB.

So much has changed. Rancho Christian WAS a great school. The teachers loved the students and poured into each, but then the great teachers left. The teachers do not agree with the changes in what they were told to teach about the Bible. This is a 'christian' school, but they do not believe the same things as most 'christians' believe. So the teachers who actually know what the kids will be taught were not comfortable working there anymore. Look into their NEW theology closely! When I asked very specific questions, the Head of Schools gave me very wishy washy answers that were not really answers, but sounded pretty. They say their theology is not progressive- dig in, don't take their word at face value!

Save your money, Linfield has stepped up tremendously and hired all the great teachers that have resigned from Rancho.

My children attended Rancho Christian Elementary for 7 years. Unfortunately we had to remove our children from the school due to a significant shift towards progressive theology and finding out they had hidden controversial policies from the parents. The teachers were great, but of the teachers who were there when my daughter started kindergarten 7 years ago, only two remain- the music teacher and one 4th grade teacher. There have also been 5 different elementary principals during our short time there. I am still not sure why the turnover is so high. We unenrolled more than a month before school started in the summer, plenty of time to fill our children's seats, and they refuse to return our $9,600! I would not trust them.

My two daughters started attending last school year. They were in grades 6th and 10th. We had recently relocated from Las Vegas, and they were apprehensive about starting a new school. The school climate at Rancho Christian is welcoming, and my daughters made friends within the first day of school. Although the instruction is rigorous, teachers also incorporate various learning modalities into each lesson. The teachers are caring, and they make a genuine effort to connect with each student and foster a safe learning environment that encourages the students to express themselves and their opinions openly.

We entered Rancho for the high school years. My children had a fantastic experience in that they were life ready and university ready. They were able to have many choices for college and have done very well in the place they choose. Their Robotics program is fantastic and run by parents, which brings community with parents and the school and their students. Small classroom sizes give teachers the ability to know each student personally and give guidance in and outside of the classroom.

I have multiple children who have been able to attend Rancho Christian and graduate from this school. I loved the care, heart, and staff. They have been like family to us. We walked many milestones together. Both my children are now in college, and I am grateful for the foundation and education that prepared them for life! Thank you, Rancho

We love Rancho! Our son is doing very well. He has raised his academic standards and is shooting for all A's. He was a A/B, student with an occasional C at his last Christian School. We attribute this to the encouragement he receives from his teachers and coaches. He feels safe, has many friends and loves Ranch Christian School as much as we do!

Classes meet either MWF on week and TTH the next. This gives our son a fair amount of time to get his homework done. He has his "less taxing" classes on a different day then his class that req the most work so he gets a bit of a break.

Our son is a sophomore here and transferred in at the beginning of 9th grade as we had just moved to Temecula from Redlands. Rancho Christian is definitely college prep but the teachers are effective and coordinate their lessons. So if my son is learning about a certain time in his History class, then he is studying literature for his English class from the same period. This reinforces what he's learning and helps him to fully understand.

We chose this school in large part because of it's football and track programs. The coaches are amazing mentors and our son literally loves them with all his heart. Our son values good character in others as much as he possesses it in himself. The school staff and administrators model excellent character and that is visible everyday.

I had a concern and sent an email to an Administrator who addressed the issue immediately and thoroughly. The next day, I received a call from the Principal who wanted to make sure I was content and that the issue had been dealt with to my satisfaction.

We experienced this firsthand with a very talented teammate of our sons, who learns differently and struggles in some areas. The kids were taught to pray for this boy and learned empathy, compassion and cheered this amazing kid on. The coaches focused on his strong points and the kid soared.

I have not seen any bullying. I have seen staff pull a very shy introverted girl out of her shell by encouraging her and getting to know her and she became a different kid who did amazingly well and developed tons of friends.

My little girl has attended preschool at Rancho Christian for the last three years. She started in the preschool 2 days a week, mornings only with Mrs. Tiki Beech. She is such a special teacher. I couldn't imagine a better first school experience. She helped my daughter learn her first mealtime/bedtime prayers and truly loves children. My daughter still sings all the songs Miss Tiki taught her and remembers her first bike-a-thon with her red tricycle, Miss Tiki cheering her on. Last year my daughter was in the transitional kindergarten class with Mrs. Roseann McWaters. Miss Roseann ensured my daughter was not only academically ready for kindergarten, but continued to build her confidence, encouraged her to dream big, taught her the importance of respecting adults and all about being a good friend. My daughter was treated as an individual and always challenged to do her best. Miss Roseann is organized, a great communicator with parents and made sure my daughter was having fun when learning. My daughter loved all the funny voices she would use when reading books to her class. We will be attending kindergarten at RC in August and my youngest daughter will be starting preschool early next year. Lastly, I'd like to mention Mrs. Betsy Kunau. Betsy is the Executive Director for Advancement at RC and has been a huge support to my family. She has always made herself available to answer any questions I may have. She is genuine, a great leader and truly believes in what RC is all about, Christ-centered teaching to ensure children are academically, socially, and emotionally prepared to succeed in school and life.

My children have been part of Rancho Christian School from Preschool through High School. They have had a wonderful experience and it has been a pleasure to see them learn, grow and mature in a grace-based environment while also being guided to academic excellence. The Christian faith is integrated throughout their school journey, and they have a clear understanding of how their worldview is critical to approaching and understanding life. The proof is in the pudding; our oldest graduated last year, was admitted to a lot of great schools, and has achieved a 4.0 as a freshman in the University of California system.

We enrolled my son as a sophomore. We moved him out of the public school system and it was his decision. The other students and families were very welcoming and the teachers are very caring and make your child a priority. This was one of the best decisions we have made and the only regret we have is not making the move sooner and enrolling my older son at Rancho Christian.

My son loves his teachers and feels very comfortable going to them for questions or concerns. They truly show compassion for their students.

Perfect amount and you don't have that ridiculous busy work that a lot of other schools give to fill in the day or week.
Posted: May 26, 2016
Whenever I am on campus if it is a sports event or just visiting the school, the students are polite and courteous. They hold the door open for you or saying hello when you don't even know them. My son has left his back pack in a classroom with his iPad and he had no worries that it would be taken and it wasn't. Students respect each other and you experience that when visiting the campus.

My wife and I and our three sons moved to Temecula from San Diego in 2004. Our eldest son was going into the 1st grade.
We did not know anyone in Temecula and knew very little in terms of specifics about Temecula other than it's a great city and the kind of environment we wanted to raise our boys.
We also knew we were 100% committed to sending our sons to a Christian school. We looked at two schools, Rancho Christian School and another school I'll call 'School X.' On the surface, we were impressed with them both, although the tuition cost for 'School X' was higher.
Rancho Christian's 1st Grade classes were tentatively full but they allowed us to put our eldest on the waiting list in case another spot opened up. 'School X' had spots still available for their 1st grade.
I said to my wife, Why don't we just go with 'School X' since they already have a 1st grade opening.
I am incredibly thankful now that my wife replied, I just have a really good vibe about Rancho Christian. Let's wait and see if a spot opens up.
Looking back twelve years later, I can say choosing Rancho Christian School was one of the wisest family decisions we've ever made. The education is top-notch but even more than that, it's the people.
From the administration to the teachers, the coaches, the staff, the students, and parents, they're all the finest people you could hope to know and be associated with. My wife and I and our sons have developed friendships that we are very grateful for and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Rancho Christian School has been an incredible blessing to our entire family.

teachers are awesome, but the faculty has their favorites. if you work there and you are higher up in the faculty, their children, and their special friends, get special privileges, over the rest of the kids, and that is a shame! look up Riverside Superior court, Case: #RIC -1513375

My spouse and I love RCS. We have 3 children in the school and this is our 4th year at the school. The faculty are the best. They really work with you to help your child reach their potential. I love the focus on the arts and on technology, and the fact that it goes through middle and high school is a huge plus. We don't plan on ever making a move to a different school. Our kids LOVE it, come home singing praise songs learned in music class and chapels, and have fantastic friends. It really is a big family here, and I know my children will be ready for life and college.

Preschool Review. Less than thrilled. My child attends 3 days a week. There is a child in his class that is obviously special needs and she has thrown chairs, screamed and clawed at her eye until damaged, constantly disrupts the class and several parents have moved their children from the room. I spoke with the director and was given many excuses fir the childs behavior. She needs special care and they are ignoring the obvious that they are not equipped to care for her. She has not been moved or recommended for other programs but left to substandard care for her challenges. Additionally My son informed me that an aide has been pinching the childrens ears while resting. I addressed this also with the teacher and it has ceased but they admitted they have problems with her. So why is she there also??? Too many problems and the director has taken zero actions.

I love Rancho Christian Schools! My kids have been here since preschool and now are in elementary and middle school. They have a wonderful christ-centered education which is very strong in academics and arts. It is a very well-rounded program. The teachers are highly qualified and are so nurturing to the students. They take the extra time to get to know the students and families.

I am very happy with the school. The teachers care about the students and if there ever is a problem it is resolved. The playground could be a little more kept up, but other than that everything runs smooth. My only wish is that their food options improve.

We have been at RCS for10 years and have loved it. There have been some growing pains but I really believe they have put forth the effort to fix things. Overall, I thank God for this school! We have kept our kids in RCS through middle school and have switched to public high school mainly for more options and better sports programs. I know the high school has really come a long way and I hope they continue to excel. The lack of communication overall has been a little frustrating. We've loved and appreciated most of the teachers. Math and writing have been a tough transition from RCS to public. I'd give the Elementary School a 4.5 / 5 and the middle school a 3 / 5.

This school is run by the students. Parents pay to drop them off and forget about them. Grades do not matter. No effort is given to advance learning. If you have a problem or need help they will listen and that is all. Neutrality is the foundation from which they lead. If your child is under attack every witness will turn their backs on them.

This review is way overdue ! Best school experience available... My daughter has been at Rancho for 5 years and is now entering middle school and my son just finished Kindergarten... I am amazed daily by the high values of not only the teachers staff and administration but also the parents at the school ... Academically the school is superior to not only public but also other Christian schools in the area . As a former teacher , I value good education as well as a solid loving Christian , God fearing environment . I do feel that there is certain favoritism among a few teachers but that is a human flaw and does not reflect on the school itself ! Great after school activity program too We love our school and are excited to start another wonderful year !

My child attended this school for 4 yrs. Prior to moving to the larger campus this school was great. Unfortunately, bigger isn't always better. It became more focused on money than on providing a nurturing, loving, Christian environment. There is ALOT of favoritism and many cliques amongst the parents, teachers, and administration. My child received a much more Christian experience at a PUBLIC elementary school here in Temecula. We found Rancho Christian School's math is behind compared to the local public school.

Year two for my kids at Rancho and I am happy with the school, administration and faculty. The leadership changes have really made a difference. My kids have gone to another private school in the area and we tried public when we thought that we couln't afford private any longer. Rancho is less expensive (by a couple thousand) and you get an above par education and loving teachers who really care about your kids. Parents, you may have a bad experience no matter where you go. It doesn't mean that the problem is not being addressed and policy changes are in the works. We as parents need to work with administration and faculty to make change. If you are looking for a Christ-centered school who has loving, educated Teachers, give Rancho a try. I feel blessed to have the opportunity to send my kids here (MS and Elem).
