This school exhibits significant favoritism and bias, with staff members and student leaders, often engaging in bullying and stereotyping, leaving many students feeling outcasted. There's a pervasive culture of brown-nosing and a lack of teamwork, making those who aren't part of the in group feel rejected. Also, the sports training is extremely harsh and often continues in extreme weather conditions, which can be detrimental to student well-being. The sports policies require parents to sign waivers, shifting all responsibility for any injuries or even fatalities onto the parents, highlighting , the severe and unsafe conditions that students face..Many teachers are passive aggressive and condescending , often treating students as if they're incapable of understanding or deserving empathy. When students face genuine hardship and request extensions, these teachers are often dismissive and unsympathetic, reinforcing an unwelcoming atmosphere. The pickup and drop off is horrid with parents and students often sitting through multiple green lights before moving forward, and once they arrive, the school's roadblocks and detours make it feel like navigating a maze. This frustrating routine happens both at drop off and pick up. The school food is bland and tasteless , with small portions that barely satisfy students , some of it tastes old and outdated, and the menu pictures on the their website are pure catfishing.

Genuinely have never felt worse. The kids at this school ramped up my depression. Bullying happens in every school, but here it just feels cruel. Can’t wait to switch to Mesa. If your kid doesn’t always fit the “social norms”, don’t bother on picking this school. Please always check in with your kids, you never know how school is treating them.

This was an amazing school. I was able to try so many new things with all of the clubs and sports offered on campus, and we watch a daily video in our classes that keep each and every student up to date on the many opportunities to get involved on campus. The staff members truly care about your well-being and encourage you to be involved, and the teachers are accommodating of you being able to do what you love while not infringing on learning. As someone with anxiety and depression, I felt extremely supported by the staff and was supported whenever I needed the support. The drama program/club, choir program, ASL program/club, softball program, Link Crew Program, ASB Program, Dual Enrollment Courses, AP Courses, etc. were all great opportunities that I was proud to be a part of. Each assembly allowed us to get connected to our school, and the constant communications from the staff were great as I found new ways to connect to the campus. Then, as I approached Graduation, the College and Career Center was especially helpful as I was trying to navigate what I wanted to do post-graduation. In college, the guidance that I got and the AP and Dual Enrollment courses I took allowed me to graduate early and save money on college-level courses by having some General Education courses completed. Looking back on it, I wouldn't have changed anything about my high school experience. I found where I belonged through trying many clubs and sports offered on campus, felt supported by all staff members from teachers to office staff to the custodians, and was able to excel in academics through the support offered to all students.

I absolutely had a problem with bullying by staff that I had to get the school board involved because nothing was being followed through by the staff at VMHS. At that point, the principal said " Oh I guess I need to meet your son". I kept asking my son, did you ever have the principal introduce himself? No was always the answer.

This staff destroyed my son. I do understand that he made choices and could have made better decisions on how to deal with the bullying, but when kids are only 16, 17 years old, they don't always do the right thing. They need to build them up, not push them down and give up on them...

Their sports programs are a clique. If a student joins this school as a sophomore or junior or go to their"sports camp" they are not even considered to be on a team. The camps are expensive as well.

Amazing! my daughter is extremely happy, her confidence has soared and loves, loves, loves the band/concert program. Mr. Levine & Mr. Wade in the music department are simply OUTSTANDING! their level of professionalism and integrity is passed on to the kids, case and point they just won California Band State Regionals in November 2016. Keep up the excellent work!

This great school has become a second home for many students because of the caring atmosphere shown by staff and students alike. Academic excellence is stressed along with award winning activities, sports, clubs & student government programs. Wish I could have gone to this high school when I was a teenager!

my experience with this school is horrible. it started on the first day of school with teachers bullying students including our son. when support was approached it was said that is would be taken care of but in reality the teacher had s expected pin pointed out our son. Spport staff also after not even a month of school starting, mentioned that not all students ca graduate from this HS and there is alternate HS of which to attend. From this point on I made it clear that i would not allow anyone push our son from being bullied by teachers or threatened by support staff. Our point of view as a family of an AD service member that is deployed fightingfor our freedom this is ad has beena terrible start of a transitioning son. spport internal to this schoolis non existant.

The administration and teachers are very responsive. I am particularly impressed with their instrumental music program at all levels. Amazing!

This high school is very productive with its students to be proactive in the high school community. It is very competitive in Sports, AVID programs and graduating classes. I would rate this high school a 10. I have had 2 graduate from there and will be having another one next year GO BRONCOS

I wish I had gone to a high school like this when I was a kid. I was worried about my oldest going to high school having heard so much scary stuff. But he loves it and I love it. The teachers communicate with parents, they genuinely care about their students, the extra curricular activities are endless, they are so spirited and the football program has taught my son more character and self discipline than I could have asked for. We love supporting the Broncos and got hooked on going to the games. It has an amazing sense of community. My son feels safe going there. There are always going to be kids who are not the best types of kids in every school but if your kids aren't like that, they will avoid those kids. There are so many kids there, you could never even meet people in your same class in 4 years.! We moved into this district just to attend Murrieta schools after doing lots of research from Menifee and Romoland school districts. It was SOOO worth it. Couldn't be happier with Vista. They are a proud school with lots of CLASS!

This school is very elite and is essential to this community. I pulled my son out of Murrieta Valley and he is excelling and prospering in his academics and sports. Our family loves this school
