Terrible and Despicable! In fact, I am fifty-seven years old and have never in my life have seen any school treat children as bad as this before. Your running a prison camp. Good luck.

Homework: it really depends on the teacher (just like most schools) Some teachers are very adamant on homework and some hate it, it really just depends on the teacher.
Teachers: like i said it really depends on the teacher. Most of the teachers are willing to help you out, and they do offer tutoring, so it really depends on the student and teacher relationship.
Leadership: i don't really have much to say here so yeah.
Character: you can't blame a school for students not having good character, its really up to the parents to teach them that. The teachers try their best to do what they can, but like i said you can't blame the school for that.
Learning differences: Considering i didn't have any type of disability or learning disadvantage, i couldn't really help you out on this one. However i do believe that our teachers try to accommodate the best they can for their students.
Bullying: The school does what they can with the information they can, but you have to talk to someone if you are being bullied. Now n days kids messing around by being mean, so even being a student its hard to tell if someone is being bullied. From what I've seen the school doesn't tolerate bulling and they don't like it on the campus, they what their students to be #Bulldogstrong!!

I wouldn't say it's the best, as there is way better schools than Golden Valley.

This school does its best to make a safe and honest place for students and teachers alike to feel comfortable in.

I graduated with a right state of mind of what I want to be in college.

The teachers at this school really want their students to improve and do more with their education. As an example, the Honors Anatomy and Physiology class in one's senior year, the teacher treats their students as if they are already in their college classes. Deadlines are put up with their final "book" at the end of the year.
Each teacher has a special unique trait that leaves a very good impression on the students who are willing to learn and do more for their education. A student can start thinking about what they want to be in when continuing further in the future such as being an engineer, or a chemist or a historian.
Overall, the teachers in this school are always willing to do their part, it's only the students' cooperation that is needed of them.

as of 2015, i have both positive and negative feedback about this school. positive stuff i would love to say is that the sports teams are really good especially gv wrestling and gv boys soccer. GV performing arts is a very good department i love it and i myself was involved as well. and to be honest, GVHS students do not have that much school spirit at all. i would say there's too many dress code violations being held in this school a lot. there are teachers that are very helpful and give opportunities to raise up the grade in their class, while other teachers don't. i love the principal Paul Helman as well.

Golden Valley isn't as bad as people may think it is. It can be improved though. I don't like the classes here. My grades dropped when I moved here because they were ahead of what I was doing at my old school. The teachers aren't as helpful as I would like them to be. People here just aren't friendly and it's very hard to adjust and make friends when everyone here shuts you out. Golden Valley isn't a good school, at least not for me.

I'm currently a junior at Golden Valley High school and I have been there all four years. I have nothing but good things to say not only about other students but the teachers are outstanding. I have learned so much from great teachers but the students are the real success story I have many friends including myself who strive in AP classes and extra curricular activities and sports. Overall do not judge my school just because of the area or people who go their but actually go and see for yourself how amazing it is.

this school isnt that bad as some people think it is. sure we may have some really disrespectful students but the staff is overall good. our curriculum is great considering where the school is located and the population of the school. GV has a very nice campus off school hours but when students are there that place is a landfill. im sorry if this sounds rude but its true. the student body has school spirit and thats the best when it comes to rallies or football games or any school related events. the staff is really strict but they are mainly easygoing if you dont get into trouble very often. honors and AP classes are offered but, take it from me, there arent a lot of those classes and are hard to get into. clubs, on the other hand, theres a bunch of those. you can find just about any club. its great. our athletic dept isnt always the best of the best but they are extremely competitive ill tell you that and they become like a second family. our performing arts dept is great; the students and teachers are really dedicated and its great to see them perform, its phenomenal. this is all from my own personal experience so hopefully it helps in any way.

I know of someone who will be attending this school and she told me that she has heard great things about this school. She was hoping that there was an anime club since she enjoys anime and she feels that an anime club would open up more students. So i suggest that an anime club should be added to this school's extra curriculum activities.

I like the school but its too strict. The teachers help but still alot of rules like your parents cant bring you your forgotten stuff.
