In my experience TT is a mediocre elementary. They have had 3 different principles in the last 3 years. The PTA brings in a lot of funds but the school has hardly any extra curricular activities. They dont offer any foreign language. Its a basic elementary that doesnt offer anything special.

This is my son's first year at Tony TOBIN (Kinder) and he's enjoying it and learning so much so quick! He loves his teacher and very proud of his academic performance thus far.

We moved here in October of 2012. Our oldest daughter started second grade at that time. She has adored every single one of her teachers in every grade. My second daughter was in Kindergarten this previous year and couldn't wait to go to school every day! This school, the staff, the principal is above and beyond any expectations. It's amazing! Everyone is so involved in everything and we couldn't ask for a better school for our girl's to be in. Thank you Mrs. Bryant, Mrs. Walker, Mrs. Allison, Mrs. Atkinson, Mrs. Hoadley, and Mr. McTasney for everything you have done for our daughters. You are amazing teachers!!

Its an ok school. They teach by the book. No gated advancement. Realistic Mr. McTansney is not amazing. It really comes down to IEP students they rest are cattled alone till middle school and then high school.

Tony Tobin is an outstanding school! We have three children in grades Kindergarten, fourth and fifth. We moved to Temecula last year and could not be happier with their academic progress. Teachers are dedicated professionals who genuinely care about their students and go above and beyond to make sure each child is well prepared. Our principal, Mr. McTasney, is nothing short of amazing. He takes the time to get to know the kids, is motivating, kind and a wonderful leader. The PTA provides terrific programs and activities that truly help make the school a fantastic place to learn! We cannot say enough about this school and community!

We have two kids in kindergarten at Tony Tobin. We are nothing but impressed by the efficiency and quality of this school. The teachers we've met are amazing and despite some other reviews, we find the principal's enthusiasm contagious and he really engages the students. We moved from urban San Diego to the Temecula area so our children could attend these top rated Great Schools and we are fortunate we ended up in Tony Tobin's district.

My kids are in 2nd and 4th grade , they have been attending since kindergarten. They love their school, their teachers and the principal. They are both getting very good grades and are so happy to go to school every morning .

We love Tony Tobin. We came from an east coast school and it was like night and day! At our old school the kids barely knew the principal or feared her. Here the principal is engaged and enthusiastic. He doesn't hide from the parents, he is always out in the open ready to listen. The teachers also have been amazing in helping our kids transition. I can not believe anyone could give this school less than 5 stars. I can't imagine how it could get better than this. All those bells and whistles work! They break up all the learning and being strapped to a chair all day. My kids think they hit the school lottery. They love going to school, their grades have gone up, and they actually think school is fun!! My only regret is that we didn't move here sooner so my kids could've been at this school for 6 years!

We have been attending Tony Tobin E.S. from Kinder through the 5th grade. I can not believe that anyone would give this school less than 5 stars. My childs test scores are evident proof that the school is academically meeting her needs beyond California's Standarized Tests at an Advanced level. My student's progress has been exceptional with each coming year because of the teacher quality and attention to work ethics of the staff, along with their unbelievable kindness and care. Speaking of which our Principal is one of the most involved, kind, motivated, helpful, caring, attentive and professional principal's I have had the experience and pleasure of knowing. My eldest child was in 3 different elementary schools incl. out of state and I can honestly say that our experience with the other schools was not near what TTES has provided for my younger child. I wished that he would have had the opportunity to have experienced a school such as this one, I now see that they would have embraced his individuality and motivated an already GATE and now AP & IB course college prep student. In all accounts this school is worthy of 6 stars. Thank you TTES...you are all amazing.

Tony Tobin Elementary is staffed by dedicated and highly qualified teachers and support personnel, providing an outstanding learning environment for EACH one of their students! Graduates of Tony Tobin are well prepared for the next phase of their education.

Our principal is incredible. He fosters an open environment where families are a big part of the campus and the teachers love to come to work.

My child attended Tony Tobin for K and 1st and we were less than impressed, she now attends Temecula Prep. Tony Tobin has all the bells and whistles but lacks good teachers, the principle is loud and obnoxious and the kids are aloud to act like animals....i am so thankful we no longer have to attend this school!!!!

$9000.00+ is the average tax bill in this area; the highest tax rate in the county. I moved to this area to obtain the best educational experience for my children and give them an edge as they will be competing for scholarships and college entrance. Although some people would love to champion their own cause, the only one that matters is that our kids do well and per the recent test results they should be doing better. Directing traffic, knowing the kids, parents, and volunteers is great after all that is their job; they work there that's why we pay the highest taxes! The school district should be great full to have such an involved PTA that raises so much money and takes the education of their children seriously. We pay our share also and donate school materials which seems to be more of requirement then a donation. I feel fortunate that I have the tax money required to live in this area and my kids attending Tony Tobin is my tax payer right...so when my child and some of my friend's kids are not doing as well as they should, I question the school district's ability to supervise their administration. After all we give them everything they need.

Tony Tobin is an amazing school. We have experienced 1st, 2nd and 5th grades here since moving from Northern CA and I am so glad that we specifically targeted this school for my kids & the surrounding neighborhood to live in. I truly believe that the reason the school functions so well academically & socially is because of the leadership of Principal Mike McTasney. He knows all the kids, from being out each morning directing traffic, welcoming everyone to school, to roaming the halls interacting with students, teachers & parent volunteers. Another sign of a great school is the parent involvement. There are always an abundance of parent (& grandparent) volunteers throughout the school, who also are active in the PTA. It is a sign that the parents are fully invested in their children and the school to succeed. Any family would be extremely fortunate to have a child at Tony Tobin Elementary.

We love TTES! My child attended Kindergarten through 1st grade here and we were so sad to have to leave because of our out-of-state move. The kinder team of Mrs. Ellevold, Mrs. Esparza, and Mrs. Lipka is phenomenal! You will never want to move onto first grade! But then first grade was great too. I can't vouch for grades 2-5, but K-1 was terrific!

I attended this school in 1st through about half of 5th grade (I am in 6th grade now) before I moved. The teachers there were helpful and supportive, and not only made it so that every student understood what they were teaching, but also made the students interested in what they were teaching. Even though the school I currently attend is considered to be the best school in my area, Tony Tobin far surpasses it, and I mean far. I am very glad that I had the chance to attend there.

My son is in kindergarten now at Tony Tobin. We looked into private schools, but we are so happy we made the choice to send him to Tony Tobin. He is learning so much, his teacher is amazing and we think it is a wonderful school all around. Most parents are very involved which in the end benefits the children and the school in general. We are looking forward to next year and hope to have as great a teacher as we do this year!

After reading that last review I was a little concerned. While I'm not sure how Tony Tobin stacks up "globally," the scores that can be found on this website, show that they are doing amazing compared to other schools in the state. In fact, every grade level is way ahead of the state average, and fifth grade is at 92%!!!!! So, let me understand this, 92% of the children leave where the state considers them to be proficient in Math and they aren't doing well? Kudos to the staff and thank you! I couldn't be happy that my children are Trailblazers.
