This is a great school charter school set: it includes SCA, SCIA and SCH. I would recommend it to anyone looking for high quality education, bound to be focused on college readiness. It has developed so much throughout the years and has demonstrated great leadership!!

This school is amazing! They have great teachers that care about the kids. SCA has always so many fun activities (spookfest and multicultural festival). SCCA has a great Odyssey of the Mind program which is very encouraging. The music program is very good.

It's very frustrating as a parent, to have the information on this site be over a year old. This school seemed like it was going places, but the teachers are leaving in droves and they have a new principal every year. Why is it that they cannot find someone capable who will be committed to guide the school for a long period of time? I am doubtful that this is a good school for a college-bound student.

My child is in a fourth/fifth combo class with 50 % of the day in Spanish. The kids in her class are having a difficult time understanding the accent of the teacher from Spain. Students and teachers constantly argue over accent pronunciations in Spanish. It feels as if she wants to teach them another language. The difference between spanish from Mexico and spanish from Spain is huge! The acquisition of the Spanish teachers is decelerating the students' progress. Very sad!

I currently have a son at Summit Charter Collegiate Academy (7-12 campus), and next year my daughter will be attending. I have been VERY impressed with the administration and staff at this school. My son has been able to be involved in the Odyssey of the Mind program, and has loved his teachers. No school is perfect, but this school comes as close as possible! The previous parent who commented on the lack of performing arts was speaking about the elementary school. My son has decided he might want to be a Music Teacher because of his teacher. The school is in the process of building a new gym with the performing arts program in mind. They currently offer Guitar, Band, Orchestra, and Drama, Choir and Music Appreciation in the area of performing arts. My daughter is very interested in the Fine Arts program offered at SCCA. The principal goes out of his way to make each student feel like they have a place at SCCA. There are so many different ways to get involved, even for such a small school, that each student can find his or her own niche there.

Perhaps I am biased due to the fact that I work at the Summit Charter 7-12 campus, SCCA, but I was a little surprised by the most recent review. The parent doesn t address which campus they are referring to, but I assume they are referring to the junior high/high school campus due to their mention of secondary school programs like choir, drama, and dance. The parent says that "there is no choir, drama, dance, etc" and that is mostly untrue. There is a drama program (and they have a big show coming up in May) and a choir. Currently, there are no dance classes offered, but as the school expands and enrollment grows there will definitely be a place for dance classes. Being a teacher is stressful, and combination classes have been a challenge. However, combination classes allow the school to offer honors classes to our students. This is just another example of Summit Charter Collegiate Academy s focus on putting its students first. Also, the administration is always open to suggestions, and any questions or concerns would be happily addressed.

Unfortunatly this school is going down hill fast. This charter school is suppose to have an emphasis on the arts, it does not. There is no choir, drama, dance ect. They are expanding the sports program but that is not was promised when this school was created. The principal is not open to ideas that are not hers. The PTO has a very strong hand in this school and is not open to outside ideas. Whith the addition of combo classes this year the teachers are very stressed and being involved has become more difficult.
