Overall great school, I think the only thing you be careful about is some of the kids here just don't be friends with the wrong people especially the ones that get you in trouble.

Some teachers are but some arent It just depends on what teacher you get.

Posted: October 15, 2019

Nope, Nope, and Nope. Yes, we are tryna work on it and there are some who have this kinda character but most don't.

Posted: October 15, 2019

There are some kids in this school who show awesome leadership and are amazing while others cause trouble

Posted: October 15, 2019

Yes this is so true if one child is having a problem a teacher is there to help.

Posted: October 15, 2019

They do but most don't tell so you really don't know

Posted: October 15, 2019

I would rate my experience as amazing even though we have fights and bad problems and don't meet the state average we still have lots of fun and you make friends at this school easily. If you are being bullied and you speak up then your problem is gonna get fixed. So I would rate this school as Amazing!!

Posted: October 15, 2019

This is true because I go to this school and we may have problems but we have awesome help with our homework

Posted: April 23, 2019

Not a great school at all. Teachers are so-so, leadership is so-so, test scores are poor and moral is terrible. My friend pulled her child out and is homeschooling and I would do the same if my child were having problems.

Posted: April 23, 2019

Like everywhere else, some teachers are great but most are vested and just there for a check.

Posted: April 23, 2019

Their used to be a zero tolerance to bullying in the past. NOW there are multiple fights weekly and kids are welcomed back. They care more about enrollments and getting paid for kids than the safety of kids.

Posted: April 23, 2019

The leadership 8 years ago was great but now itÂ’s far below par.

Posted: April 23, 2019

Posted: April 23, 2019

This used to be the case in the past but not anymore.

Posted: April 12, 2019

A waste of three years if you go to this school in my experience.

Posted: April 12, 2019

The homework is fair and I understand it.

Posted: April 12, 2019

In one month two teachers got fired for being child predators. Administration is trash there are almost fights every day, and the teachers don't really do anything about it either.

Posted: April 12, 2019

Fights almost every day student always talk back to teachers students go bodies in bathroom we roast the student teachers.

Posted: April 12, 2019

You can't even tell who the students in leadership are. ever since the old leadership teacher left when I was in sixth grade leadership got worse and worse.

We are constantly doing things to make the school more open and we are always coming up with different activities for the students. We are also always trying to come up with new clubs and field trips for students

If you care about your kids and want them to focus on their education rather than avoiding or fearing other students (even adults) due to bullying or some sort of sexual harassment, then don't enroll them here. Desert Ridge Academy is a pathetic excuse of a "school."

Posted: June 5, 2018

Name one that is. I highly doubt it.

Posted: June 5, 2018

PFFFFFT this one made me laugh! Although I can't totally blame the administration from the school because these kids aren't at the school 24/7 five days a week so they're obviously growing up elsewhere as well BUT it's the school's responsibility to control situations and handle them in responsible, effective ways when they ARE there. Having physical fights surface DAILY does NOT exemplify strong character, compassion OR respect.

Posted: June 5, 2018

Uh if you call discouraging positivity, open-mindedness, compassion, and care to another "supporting students with learning differences" then sure I agree.

Posted: June 5, 2018

One of my family members got bullied at least 2-3x in the past month. Still ongoing even with police reports.

Posted: January 30, 2018

Posted: January 30, 2018

There a buch of bullies.
The staff is worse then the kids

Posted: January 30, 2018

A character ? This school is pathetic along with the staff security staff calling kids names. Sick

Posted: January 30, 2018

Worse group of principals, there job comes before doing the right thing for the kids.
My son was bullied by an adult along with office staff or anyone else for that matter was concerned. They are protected by staff for not doing the right things and the district is disgusting

Posted: January 30, 2018

Not at all they protect only there staff

Posted: January 30, 2018

Posted: January 30, 2018

Absolutely horrible, unprofessional staff, vice principals unprofessional
District superintendent is horrible just like the school

Posted: February 20, 2017

It's a great experience 3 years will fly by and you make friends and the staff is really nice and supportive. :)

If you want a great school for your student, look no further. I have been extremely happy with all staff and students that I have encountered. Principal, Counselor and teachers are all very interested in your child's education! Love that everyone is on Google calendar and is updated daily. My daughter has never really struggled in school, but since starting Desert Ridge she has improved her grades even more, Honor Roll every semester.
