Small public charter school with an emphasis on S.T.E.M. There school is not for everyone it is a hard academic program but it also prepares students for college ar an early start. My child took bridge classes at the CC and many Ap classes and went into a 4 year college as a high level junior! She has also received several scholarships.

A lot of kids say weird stuff and do incorporate things the school needs you to be smart by nature and if your not you can struggle on some of the classes in 6th grade math class you have to do 5 mastery checks before Friday, for me 5 seems a lot they also give you tests every 1 week or 2 weeks but overall a pretty good school you can make friends and learn a lot of stuff you can also play board games too. Lastly the LUNCH is amazing best lunch I ever had in schools.

WCA has provided a learning environment for my girls that couldn't be met at surrounding public schools. The work is challenging and is truly preparing them for college. The best part of WCA is that the kids can be themselves in an environment that is nonthreatening and requires collaboration amongst peers that are up to the challenge.

It's a good school only because the API scores are higher than the other middle schools in town. But because they know that they are the only middle school in town with the highest API scores some teachers had abused it, by being rude and disrespectful to some of the students and parents. Not all of them maybe just 2 in my own experience. But overall I did love this school for my child. The kids are great, the families of these children are great. The principal is awesome and so is the rest of admin. My only disappointment was with 2 of the teachers they are no longer there. And my child's experience as a 7th grader was MUCH better. If you want the best for your middle schooler try this one. It is like hitting the lottery.

Communication between parent and teacher is horrible. There is no parent involvement. Your child is on his own. So unless your child is a genius by nature he will struggle in this school. The resource person does very little to help. And when my child has any questions some of his teachers respond very brief and are sarcastic. I have been putting an effort in trying to help my son excel in some of his classes, but the teachers do not cooperate in giving me the information that I need to help him. So I have to guess most of the time what needs to be done. It has been very stressful for him and for myself.

My 6th grader would start at 3:00pm and end up at 10:30pm. Many times I had to help him myself.

Amazing school!!! The technology, science, math and history is top of its class! Fabulous faculty and facility. Wouldn't let my daughter go to school anywhere else.
