Excellent school, teachers, staff, principal and vice principal was promoted recently to another. Mr Stein was the best! The new vice principal is also good. Very good academic support and safe environment. My son is now thriving emotionally and academically at Alta Murrieta school.
We left Monte Vista the previous yr due to bullying from other students and the teacher also participated in the bullying environment in Monte Vista. The principal of Monte Vista tolerated the bullying and inappropriate, unprofessional behavior of that teacher. My son became behind academically in Monte Vista and traumatized emotionally. Alta Murrieta helped my son heal in a safe place and academically helped him catch up with wonderful support from all. They truly care about their students and the impact they make. I am so glad we decided to move my son to Alta murrieta. Best decision ever!

I absolutely love Alta Elementary School. When we move to Murrieta I had a concern that my oldest daughter had dyslexia and when I enroll her in Alta I let them know and they offer to make an assessment. They did a lot of tests in the first weeks of school and have a meeting to explain the results, they were so helpful and professional. I also have twins in TK and they had the best teacher in the world. We are very grateful to the staff they are always kind and graceful with our kids and we as parents can't ask for more.

I attended Alta when I was a child, K-5, my sisters as well. I have lifelong memories of my teachers and my education which were all nothing but amazing. My son (who is 16 now) attended, and my daughter is going into first grade this year 2022, after finishing kindergarten At Alta with one of THE best kindergarten teachers I've ever met. I not only highly recommend this school, but its literally the best you'll find in this community. Big thanks to Mr. Brown who is a legend there, one of the first bilingual teachers in the school district at that time I believe, Mrs. McKenzie who was my kindergarten teacher, and last but never least Mrs. Henderson for helping my daughter so much!!! Plus, many many more. This school is beyond amazing. Thank you all and I still have my mustang spirit!! Love and many thanks!

Mr. Coley motivates the school to be better by being involved and supporting the students, parents, and staff, which is what a leader is suppose to do.

There is no one who knows anything in the parking lot both before and after school. The parents are parking in handicapped spaces and shouldn't be. The staff is not able to effectively tell parents that the drop off place is JUST THAT- a drop off place- not a place to sit and wait for 10 minutes till the bell rings. Also youth buses need to drop off in the bus zone, since they hold up the most traffic. Simple, simple- designate someone who is in control to mandate these restrictions, or better yet call Murrieta PD for the parents that park illegally in handicapped spaces on a daily basis- I will.

This school is really great., however the dropping off and picking up of students is awful! No one is out there to tell the drop off parents not to just sit in in their cars until little darling has safely made it thru the gate in the am, rather they hold up the entire line of cars behind them. In the afternoon, you have people parking in the one handicapped spot by MPR who have no placards, which is illegal. The situation is ridiculous!! Get someone to make the traffic move, and make it safe for the kids! This is the worst parent pick- up and drop-off I've ever seen. Other parents streak thru the staff lot at over 30 miles an hour to get a spot to pick up . Someone WILL get hurt if nothing is done and SOON!!!!!!

My children are in 4th grade this year at Alta, and have attended since Kindergarten. We absolutely love it! We have had an amazing teacher every single year. On top of that, the librarian, the front office staff, principal, and also the campus monitors take a genuine interest in making sure our children are thriving. They have club coaches/staff that dedicate time to supporting our children (even evenings and weekends) that some parents struggle to even find time doing balancing work and life. I recommend this school to any parent that wants their child to have a top notch education. Thank you Alta for giving my children and I an amazing experience with elementary school!!!
