Communication is terrible and very inconsistent. Notification and discipline measures are not communicated to parents and at sometimes unfair. I get the impression that faculty and staff do not care to understand the situation and if there are altercations they hold both students at fault and discipline both. My child has gone here for both 6th and 7th grade and I will be putting in for inter district transfer to another Middle School, while my child is not perfect and does act out the sheer fact that the staff doesn't communicate with parents nor provide a consistency of facts involving situations that arise gives me zero trust in the staff at this school. However, if your child has needs to help their education they do care and try to get your child what they need, they don't always follow up or check in or give updates but again, goes back to poor communication overall at this school.

Administrative inefficiencies plague Thompson Middle School. Poor communication between faculty, parents, and students impedes progress and exacerbates issues within the school community. Additionally, disciplinary measures are inconsistently applied, leading to a sense of unfairness among students and parents alike. Without a cohesive administrative framework, the school struggles to maintain order and promote a positive learning environment.

I am currently a student attending this school. I came mid last year, I thought there was gonna be lots of fights and bullying, but there actually wasnt, the students and teachers are all so nice and supportive. I never see bullying or any sort of harassment, the food is good, and there is a wide variety of electives. Also, a lot of these teachers actually put effort into their jobs. Overall, I know this school isnt perfect but its pretty amazing for a public school :)

This is an amazing school! Our last child attended this school and had great teachers as well as many wonderful friends. The choir program is top notch and gave our child a greater appreciation for the arts. Love the school!

I think the school has many activities like dances, games, etc. I also appreciate that the school is trying to stop bullying. However, there are so many physical fights at the school. Just a few moments ago, I saw boys throwing eachother onto the ground and fighting at the park across the school. I also once saw a boy/girl fight. The boy threw her on the ground and the girl repeatedly punched the boy. Only the girl got suspended. There once was also a fight in the boys P.E. Only 1 out of the 3 boys got suspended. I'm pretty sure there have been at least 5 fights this whole school year. I always hear young boys cussing at eachother and telling them to fight. I love the teachers and activities but if these fights aren't solved then more people are gonna get hurt.

My two daughters attend this school. It is in my opinion average. The school is crowded and there have been 4 fights in 2 years. That's too many in my opinion. I asked the 8th grade counselor what they were doing to stop the violence and she just dismissed it as though 4 fights wasn't a lot and they weren't concerned. The size of the school really can't handle the amount of students and most of my daughters friends lie about their residence to go there. I'm not impressed.
