Not a good school for students who aren't White or Hispanic. Asian, Biracial and Black kids are seriously bullied and singled out. Not only by students but by staff as well. This school sits high on the systemic racism wagon. The principals blame the victim and not the abusers at this school. God forbid if the abuser is white. The teachers are pretty bad when it comes to teaching and explaining things to students. I have one child that has graduated and two still enrolled. I hear some of the worst stories from my children and after having conversations with the school I feel like there is no hope until they get rid of leadership.

As an alum of this school and a parent of two recent graduates, I couldn't be happier with the education and opportunities provided by this school. The teachers, staff and administrators have difficult jobs--not enough funding, too many students, the need to address the social as well as academic needs of young people--but from many observations, they meet these challenges cheerfully and with real spirit. My advice to prospective students and incoming parents is to get involved as much as possible, in sports, the arts, the many clubs and organizations and take full advantage of what this wonderful school has to offer.

I am continuously impressed by the emphasis and availability of college awareness and prep services. There is a fully trained college counselor on staff and a college and career research and support center. There are also several programs to support and to reinforce good habits in students who do not have the family awareness and support to go on to college. The school also has an Alumni Association that gave over $100,000 in scholarships to graduating seniors and another $50,000 to alumni to continue college or to return to college.
