Our experience at Santa Rosa Academic Academy has been extremely disappointing. The school struggles with attendance, classroom management, communication, and academic consistency, and it has negatively impacted my childs education.
One of the biggest concerns is the lack of accountability and consistency when it comes to discipline and behavior issues. Parents are often left out of important conversations, and disciplinary decisions seem to be made before hearing the full story or communicating with families. Communication from staff and administration has been frustrating and dismissive at times.
The classrooms also feel overcrowded with a very wide range of academic and behavioral needs, but without enough support staff or resources to properly help all students succeed. As a result, many students who want to learn are frequently distracted by disruptions, while students needing additional support may not be getting the individualized attention they deserve either.
Academically, my child fell behind in math to the point where we had to hire a private tutor. Instruction often felt rushed and ineffective, with too much reliance on simply displaying answers rather than fully teaching concepts in a way students could understand.
I believe the school has some caring teachers, but overall the environment lacks structure, consistency, accountability, and strong academic leadership. Parents considering this school should ask detailed questions about classroom behavior policies, academic performance, and communication expectations before enrolling.

Below average test results. Teachers do not know what to do. Office staff changes every year. School needs reform badly. In the current state this schools in I would not recommend to anybody.. This place tries to clean house every year bit people getting worse and worse.

All three of my kids went to Santa Rosa from kindergarten through fifth grade. The teachers are very caring, professional, and patient. They go above and beyond to support students' needs, including alternative seating like standing desks and foot swings under the desks. I work with high school students and many of them express gratitude for the bonds they made with their teachers at Santa Rosa. The staff is like a family and it shows.

Best years of my life. I thought the teachers were bad when I went there but I realize now the teachers were old and I was very hyper active.

This a GREAT school. I went there as a child and loved it. Now my kids are going there. They are very helpful and go out of there way to see the children succeed. I love all the teachers and staff. Thanks for caring about our children. Every school has diffrent issues and these bad reviews shouldn't effect the way you think about the school. It's amazing!!

Poorly kept campus, lack of engagement with teachers, low socio-economic level, academic programs are questionable, not progressive, doesn't seem like anyone is held accountable

There is no zero, otherwise i would have rated this school a big zero. My experience with this school was nightmare, if you want you kids to end up in mental hospital or ready for prison, ignor my warning and continue keeping your child in this school.
