I love this school! The drama department is fabulous and the entire teaching staff is wonderful! I've never felt so spirited about a school.

Worst school in slo county! Couldn't pick up my daughter at school today because she has to be in the office, while her teacher wouldn't let her leave because they 'usually send out a note' we'll I'm beyond done with that school it's been horrible from the start. Most the teachers really don't care about the student actually learning they just teach. The office staff is rude and could not care about anyone. Done with this school. If you care about your kids learning don't take them to this school, could of ended up in the hospital right now she had a migraine and needed to leave, when I picked her up after school she was crying the hardest I've ever seen

This school is one of the best schools ever the teachers are awesome and interactive they actually help students when the need help. Plus the disiplinary staff does their best but there are so many kids it is hard to control the students and i am proud to a PRHS Bearcats

I have a child at PRHS. The school is scary and out of control. As I walked through the campus I noticed MANY safety concerns to which explained the fact that they have so many discipline issues. The teachers are ok but for the most part you have to threaten a school board meeting to have them respond to a voice mail or email regarding your child. The administration is willing to return calls and voicemails but the lack of doing their job is a big concern. They seem to play all sides of the fence. (you know what I'm talking about; telling the student what they want to hear, telling the parents what they want to hear and if confronted act oblivious) They would rather passs the problem or issue on to the next person. The school is overcrowded and the the teachers are stretched thin.

I agree with the parents, prhs is lacking in many areas at the school. Communication is a big problem. It is sad to think that when your daughter comes in the door or son, they can inform you of the 'events' calendar with the following : gang activity, drug deals, alcholic beverages being mixed during lunch, theft, vandalism, solicitation, weapons and hate crimes are taking place daily.The class sizes are too large and parent involvement is difficult at times. I do see many parents are frustrated ; want ing to help but without the support of the teachers or admin they are lost. The students who acheive greatly at prhs has done so by their own abilities not by the support of the staff. To make matters worse the school laid off several teachers and counselors last week; unfortunatlely it was the good ones who are ask to leave.Shame on prhs.
