Many times when I went to pick up my child from school, she did not want to come home. She'd rather stay and be involved in the projects she was working on at the time.

I do not know if there is or is not a system set in place for learning differences. My child did not have a learning difference.

I attended the last six years of schooling at BAA. By the time I reached the 12th grade, I was taking college prep classes. The curriculum used was the ABEKA program through Pensicola, FL.. We had a structured enviroment led with prayer and devotions. This is where I gained my spiritual values. I went on to become a successful manager working with a large corporation. What I value most from attending BAA was the faculty and student relationships. We were a family oriented school where our lives mattered to all. We never felt left alone or alienated. Along with the knowledge I gained and the spiritual belief system, I felt confident that my future would impact the world and those around me. Looking back, I feel very blessed to have attended such a school. I was loved and cared for by all my teachers. Even though my teachers did not have a college degree in teaching, they had the knowledge and training needed to teach their class. Sis. Jenkins drove home to all of us our linking and helping verbs which I still have memorized today, along with the list of prepositions.
Two people who impacted me the most were Bro. Leon Frost and Bro. Gene Jenkins (R.I.P.). Someone whom I cherish and will always miss is Sis. Mary Lazenby (R.I.P.).

Christian school that has small class sizes and the most affordable tuition of all private Christian schools in Bakersfield. The children learn a lot at this school. Due to small class sizes, the teachers have time to get to know students well and give individualized attention. Teachers use Abeka program for K-8. Abeka uses phonics to teach kids as early as pre-k and kindergarden. My child is in kindergarden & already knows how to read sentences! She has also learned to write in cursive in kindergarden. Uniforms are simple and inexpensive and can be purchased at any store where available - red, blue, or white polo shirts. Pants for boys, skirts for girls. Of all the private Christian schools in Bakersfield, this one is the best!
