I am so impressed at how staff accommodated my daughter. The school has been a breath of fresh air. They offer new lightly used uniforms to any new family, such a warm, welcoming Christian community. Even more flexible than public school with knowing how to support Special Educational needs. The school philosophy is to be kind and nurturing and wholly educate the child. “A home sweet home” feeling, “old school house” feeling is how I feel about this amazing school. Staff is maternal and knows how to take good care of children and not be business like and cold.

They are incapable of protecting students on campus. One of the teachers is related to the principal so good luck if you ever have a problem with her. They're hardly even protestant also, more like Catholics that ignore the pope.

They had a student sexually harassing girls and didn't kick him out.

Got my backpack stolen while it was in school and they did nothing about it, and then there's the kid that was sexually harassing girls.

What's good: 20 hours of mandatory parental involvement per school year gets families involved...kids wear simple uniforms so there's no hassle of what to wear each day...Office staff is friendly...School building/bathrooms/church bldgs. are clean & well-kept....Class sizes are small (10-20 kids)...We've always felt our kid is safe from bullying...The kindergarten teacher Miss M is a gem--so sweet and good w/the kids. Could be improved: Some kids are definitely favored over others--depending on who their families are. That happens in most schools but since it's so small at Trinity, it's obvious who the favored families are. Sometimes it seems that the kids of high donors $$ are the teacher pets. Also not sure about middle school teachers. Some seem organized, professional and prepared but others--not so much.

Moving my child from public school to Trinity Lutheran School has been one of the best decisions that our family has made. My child feels so comfortable and has opened up immensely. There are so many opportunities and experiences that were unavailable in the public school system. It is extremely comforting knowing that my child is known as an individual and taken care of!

My daughter was not thriving in the public sector and I decided to move my daughter to Trinity mid year in 2nd grade. The staff and students were so accepting of my daughter and welcomed her into the school with open arms. We are not affiliated with the church, nor did we know anyone who attended the school prior to checking it out. I had checked out five other private schools on the central coast and this school was my top choice. The teacher even worked 1:1 (no additional fee) with my child to help her get caught up after she fell behind in the public school system. My daughter is now in the 5th grade, an honor roll student and is thriving in a positive environment where everyone has the common goal of commitment to excellence, not only in academics, but in honor and integrity as well.

After having my child in the public school system since Kindergarten we decided to move him into private this year. I really did not know what to expect but Trinity more than exceeded my expectations in regards to education. This is how education should be! Not testing to take a test like the public schools but a true education with religion in the mix. Anyone considering pulling their child from public would not regret it for a second...
