This was my first year for my children to go to the academy. The parent involvement was great. The principle and the vice principle were disrupted at some points during the school year, but they promote family values, strong! Unfortunately, their math, English, and science classes are behind from the public schools and do not have a good foundation for the children to go to a university. I few times to a math class in the upper grades ( 6th-8th grade) and the teacher do not look he was doing his job.His instructional aide ( I. A.) was doing a better job and teaching better to the childrens that the main math teacher. It is a great school, but I hope they improve in the main course that will help our children in a university.

The principal tries very hard. The school has improved over the years. They demand a lot of the students and are particularly diligent in the areas of math and computers, so in that sense, it is a superior choice. It's better than public schools. Nonetheless, some of the teachers are rather disorganized in their class preparation and methods, and unfair. A lot of the burden is placed on the student, rather than on the teacher to teach, with a lot of projects with little eduactional value. This is basically a school for rich people from Mexico. If your kid is not from the upper class in Mexicali, expect your child to be politely rejected by his classmates. At least you can be assured your child will not be bullied overtly by other kids. The school watches kids behavior like a hawk. In that aspect the school is excellent and your child will likely have two or three outcasted friends with good values. There is a very strong emphasis on moral values, although sometimes they go overboard and fall prey to the same sins of arrogance. A couple of the teachers and a nun there are full blown bullies. The schools website claims no child will be turned away for lack of funds. Not true.
