This is a project based learning school and the homework really isn't a concern; it's given for practice and not to see if your child knows the info.

I am uncertain of what this site uses for the rating but the school district shares the rating and it much higher than depicted here.

The school motto is ROAR. When I drop my student off and listen to the announcements, I hear them reminding students to be a role model, etc.

Best principal around. Dean is awesome. Very approachable. Ms. Petersen, the principal, does everything from curb duty with kids to picking up garbage at events and she does it in heels.

Small instances within the school that are dealt with immediately. Parents need to realize that kids can be mean one day and that is not a bully.

Great place to be. We are open enrolled for a reason. Arkansas is amazing and it has been for the three years we've attended.

The teachers and principal is really available to the families and the kids. I have met with them as a team every 6 weeks for my little boy who has ADHD. We always find a way to make his educationa experience wonderful. I can not stay enouth about their dedication. Get involved- communicate and the resutls are extrodinary.

My daughter went to this school from K-2. The first principal was horrible. They got a new principal the last year my daughter went there, and he was better as far as communication with parents and kids. There was a lot of bullying. My child constantly complained about being bullied and I personally had to step in between a child being bullied while another kid had to go get a staff member. Unfortunately, with all APS schools, there are too many student to staff ratio. Thankfully, I do not have to send my child back to this school.

The teachers and staff in this building work hard to build relationships with students and parents. I've been in regular contact with my child's teacher, and the principal has always made me feel welcomed and openly listened to any concerns I've had.
