Do not send your kid to the school if they have special needs. You will not have the help that you need. They will put you through circles and confuse you and not help. For example, my fifth grader is at a kindergarten level because they continued to push him through each grade, even though he was far behind everybody else. I would not recommend the school to anybody that wants their kid to have a one on one para if your kid elopes or has behavior problems. They do not have enough staff to take care of each student.

Send your child anywhere else, it starts from the top the principle has no directive, or direction. office staff and administration are non experienced. The mental heath and school psychologist are to young and don't know how to help the children. Just look at the scores this school ranks 761 out 965 elementary schools in Colorado. every category has drop since the principle has taken over in the last few years, enrolment, full time teaches, testing score & state performance. One one thing went up Free lunches. This means the kids are not learning and the teachers are leaving. bad leadership creates these issue. Until the do a personnel clean up with experienced educators, do not send your children here unless you want to set them up to fail because that is what this school is doing.

My daughter comes home and has no idea how to do the homework, there are no instructions, I have had to contact her teacher because the math has to be done a certain way ( stupid common core way ) which makes no sense. the instructions that were sent home after having to ask for them made very little sense.

the teachers are more bullys than teachers. They use a stupid app to give positive and negative points for the most trivial stuff. if the student gets too many negative points they get detention. How about teaching the kids instead of looking for more ways to punish them for being kids.

Hard to teach kids respect when you have no respect for the kids

Nope, if the kid doesn't conform to their way they are punished. they use a one size fits all approach and punish kids if they stand out in any way.

this school falls short here as well. My children have been bullied time after time. The only time the school ever acts is when you tell them you are going to get civil authorities involved. Then they try to place blame on the child being bullied

They give homework that the students dont know how to do! Common Core math is horrendous although not the schools fault.

The Teachers I have met seem to be trying their best.

The bullying and lack of actual education is atrocious.

My 9 and 11 year olds have had to learn how to fight back in order to make it through a school day.

The worst school I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of! Your student will fall so far behind the may never catch back up!

Worst experience ever! My son was in kindergarten here and started out the year excited to start school. He was treated like a criminal from day one. His teacher was TERRIBLE! She did the bare minimum. The whole school caters to the lowest degree of intelligence, which makes it so the advanced kids stop advancing and are bored. Cannot warn people enough to stay away from this school. It's run like a prison with kids not allowed to be kids and have fun every once in a while. Also, as parents we were NEVER allowed to help out. There was actually a letter sent home telling the parents they didn't want their help AT ALL for the class 'party' days.

This school is terrible. The principal is a terrible principal. She has no clue how to control or run the school. The school is complete chaos everyday. There are a few good teachers but there are also some really bad ones. Some of the teachers do not teach the children very well. This school has a lot of bullies and the principal and assistant principal don't do anything about it. The school was decent before the current principal and assistant principal but now is one of the worst places I've seen. The school may have a chance if the principal and assistant principal are replaced. AVOID this school if possible!!!!!

I like the teachers here, but when my 9 year old started at this school she was above average and when they tested her after 6 months of going to this school she was not being challenge at school and didn't test above average. She lost interest in school by this time. The teachers need more resources to help child like mine. The office staff with the exception of the nurse are horrible and rude. My children will be going to a different school next year.

This school is a 6 but I feel APS 6 is Cherry Creeks 4. We have pulled our kids out of this school because there is no structure and the bad kids who don't behave rule the class rooms! There are a few amazing teachers but then the next year they get horrible ones that make the good ones obsolete. They loose recess, library, fun Fridays and more because the teacher cant just punish the one ore two kids acting up they have to punish the entire class and that doesn't work!!

I have only good things to say about this school. My oldest has attended for four years now and my younger son has attended for three. The teachers are involved and communicative. The principal has been there for me when I've had questions and the vice principal is excellent with the children. One of my sons has an IEP and the teachers have worked with him (and me) to make sure his grades are good. Both of my boys are excelling academically.
